Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 black box sought as world leaders including Barack Obama and Tony Abbott condemn pro-Russian separatists

    July 19, 2014 9:23PM

THERE are reports that bodies are being taken away from the crash scene of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 but it’s unsure where they are being moved to.

According to CNN , Ukrainian government officials believe that the Pro-Russian separatists, who are keeping a strong hold over the wreckage, are taking the bodies to a morgue in Donetsk, a city under their control.

    WHERE IS THE BLACK BOX?

It is the one piece of evidence that could definitively explain who’s responsible for the tragedy of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17.

The Boeing 777’s black box flight recorder could hold vital clues to what really happened when it was shot down over rebel-held eastern Ukraine on Thursday.

As the world grapples with the unspeakable reality that all 298 people on board perished when the plane crashed at the village of Grabove, a crucial question remains: Where is the plane’s black box and will crash investigators get to see it?

Bodies, luggage and children’s toys strewn across the MH17 crash site in eastern Ukraine

    July 20, 2014 12:00AM

IN the fields near the village in Rassypnoye in eastern Ukraine the small ribbons on poles flap effortless in the summer breeze.

On any other day, in any other situation they could add a beautiful touch of colour to the fields on an otherwise rainy dull day and be mistaken as an attempt by farmers to scare crows away from late harvests.

But they serve as markers of death, placed at the spot dismembered body parts lie having fallen from the sky three days ago. There were 298 passengers and crew, including 28 Australian nationals, on flight MH17 but there are many more ribboned poles.

Ukraine: Someone 'well trained' fired missile at MH17

    July 19, 2014

Donetsk, Ukraine (CNN) -- Two days after Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 crashed to earth in eastern Ukraine, the grim task of gathering the remains of some of the 298 victims of the disaster in body bags ready for removal was under way.

Artillery fire could be heard in the near distance from the crash scene, where a team of observers from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe gained access Saturday for a second day.

OSCE spokesman Michael Bociurkiw, briefing reporters from the scene, said the observers were still being denied access to certain areas but that their movements were freer than the previous day, when they were met with hostility by rebels

    Looting claim

Ukraine's government also said it had received information of looting of various items, including money and jewelry, and urged relatives to cancel the victims' credit cards.

But a CNN crew at the scene Saturday said it did not see any signs of looting or the rebels rummaging through items at the crash site. Pro-Russian rebels have been moving around the site since the plane crashed.

A government statement also accused the rebels of "seeking to export large-sized transport aircraft wreckage to Russia."

It appealed for the international community to put pressure on Moscow to rein in the rebels, saying, "Russia is supporting terrorists in their attempts to destroy evidence of international crime."
