Ronald Cummings Great Grandmother Annete Sykes tells us its not as though Ronald hates the media, she says right now he’s just all nerves wondering where his little girl is.
As soon as Ronald Cummings asked us to turn off our cameras we did. Sykes says Ronald didn’t want anyone to see what was going on inside his home. “Put yourself in his place to have to go in the room where his little girl was stolen from…he couldn’t handle it…he just broke down.”~ end snip

MAR 10snip~SATSUMA, Fla. - Officials with Putnam County Code Enforcement said the tent being used on a property in Satsuma by the Cummings family is in violation of land development codes.
Since 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings disappeared a month ago, her family has stayed in the tent located nearby to the home where she was last seen. Code enforcement officials said that only R.V.s and tents are allowed for 14 days.
Under extreme hardship, a temporary use permit could be applied which would extend that deadline to six months. The Cummings family has not been issued an official violation but has been sent a courtesy notice.

Meanwhile, Putnum County Sheriff's deputies and other law enforcement agents conducted a ground search for Haleigh Cummings who has been missing since February 9.
Crews searched about 10 miles along U.S. Highway 17 from Satsuma to Lake Como, near Crescent City. After several hours, searches said they came up empty-handed.

PUTNAM COUNTY, FL -- Officially married, Ronald and Misty Cummings spent the first day of their honeymoon in the national media spotlight. They answered questions but ultimately wanted to get their point across.
"To get the focus back on my daughter is missing. My five-year-old girl is gone, and I want to find her," says Haleigh's father, Ronald Cummings.
The focus shifted to the Cummings backyard wedding at a relative's home Thursday evening. But, would their vows prevent them from having to testify against one another should the case go to court?
"There is an evidence code provision that provides for a husband wife privilege, very similar to an attorney, client privilege," says attorney Tom Slater.
We spoke to attorney Tom Slater of Pajcic & Pajcic about the issue to get clarification on what the rule really is.
"Any communications between a husband and wife are privilege, but its when they are made as husband and wife. Now, any communications between the two of them before they got married are not privileged, so if one of them confessed to the other prior to marriage, then those statements are not privileged," says Slater.
We also spoke to Ronald Cummings' great-grandmother. She said the privilege had nothing to do with the sudden wedding.~ end

The 5-year-old girl vanished from her home last month and remains a subject of intense searches.
Ronald Cummings didn't want to talk about his run in with Geraldo Rivera or about his allegations of drug use and spousal and child abuse, but he did want to talk about his daughter, showing the tattoo obtained with $400 paid by someone else.

snip~JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A tip led investigators on Monday to a mobile home located down the road from where missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings was last seen.
The homeowner there said detectives questioned him about a doorbell, WJXT-TV reported.
"It was just another tip they're following up on, which is good. They have to follow up on every tip. The only thing everybody cares about is this child that's missing, so it's not any inconvenience to me or my family. They're more than welcome to come any time they need to. A tip is a tip," said neighbor Marty Hubbard.
He said the investigators were looking specifically for a doorbell that chimed like a grandfather clock, and that some tip or lead led them to his house. Hubbard said he doesn't have a doorbell.
Investigators said they would continue to do what they've done since Haleigh disappeared 21 days ago -- follow up on new tips.~ end

snip~ the search for Haleigh Cummings entered its fourth week on Tuesday, her mother has been asked to move the tented compound where her family has lived while waiting for any news about the girl.
For 23 days, Crystal Sheffield's family has camped out along the road leading to the mobile home where the 5-year-old disappeared in the middle of the night. They are committed to being there so she can embrace Haleigh the moment police drive up with her daughter.
"I got really upset -- I cried -- because I just want to be close," Sheffield said Wednesday morning.
Her family is hoping to relocate her tent compound about one-quarter mile up the road where the group Texas Equusearch was set up two weeks earlier while there was an active search of the area.
The family of Haleigh's father -- the girl's parents were never married and have been separated for years -- remains camped in a different place and has the property owner's permission to stay.
Both family tents have become a makeshift tributes to Haleigh -- with dozens of photos, stuffed animals and messages left by friends and strangers who have come by to show their support.~ end
