Three suspects in her death are all employees of the luxury hotel where the newlywed was found strangled, according to the Mauritius Police Force.
Room attendant Avinash Treebhoowoon, 29, and Sandip Moneea, 41, a floor supervisor, have been charged with murder. Room attendant Raj Theekoy, 33, faces a conspiracy charge.

OMG - how horrible. What a senseless, evil tragedy. My heart goes out to this family......cannot even imagine their pain.

The former Legends Resort in Mauritius has reached an out-of-court agreement with Michaela's widower, John McAreavey, and five members of her family that is reportedly worth more than a million pounds.

Avinash Treebhoowoon and Sandip Moneea, who were both workers in the hotel, were arrested over the 27-year-old's murder in 2011 but were acquitted of the charges after an eight-week trial in 2012.

Michaela's family then opened a civil case against the hotel to claim damages after it was suggested that it had not fully co-operated with the police investigation.
