An adult family member discovered the children, Prince George’s County police spokeswoman Jennifer Donelan said. Police were called at about 7:35 a.m.

Trauma to upper body. News reported that the children were found when the family member arrived at the house this morning.

I went to the Washington Post article to read the comments because it's right in that area and I knew someone might have heard something but they were closed. I guess it went south quickly... usually they just delete offensive comments , I read the sports page there frequently. I used to live about 20 miles from Clinton, quiet suburb of D.C.. Strange that the police told the residents that they don't believe anyone else is in danger but haven't arrested anyone. And there were adults present when the police arrived. Strange.

maybe the person responsible admitted themselves to hospital? but then the police would still go there and arrest them or maybe the person responsible committed suicide? but then the police would release that info I think

After the mother and others called 911 about 7:30 a.m., police arrived at the home in the 6400 block of Brooke Jane Drive and were met by family members who reported that three juveniles were inside with trauma to the body.

A fourth child, a 2-year-old, was in the home alive and unharmed, according to a law enforcement official familiar with the investigation.

ItÂ’s unclear who was caring for the children, who was in the house, and how long the girls had been dead before they were discovered.

Police were also working to determine where all of the children lived and how many people lived at the home.

Three girls under 10 were found dead in a house Friday morning in Maryland when the mother of one of the children arrived home and came upon the horrific scene.

Prince George’s County police detectives were working to determine the relationships of the children discovered in the home and who is responsible in the deaths, although police said they believed the violence is “specific” to the house in Clinton and the community at large is not at risk.

interesting that the addresses given for suspect and victims is the same block and road. I wonder if the suspect is a well known neighbor to the household where they were found.

A NY Times article I believe said one of the adults that met the police at the house was the mother of one of the children. So it sounds like they didn't all have the same mother. But the local papers didn't give that info. Because it's an ongoing investigation they aren't releasing much they have said.

Why???? There are no words... those poor babies, so young so much life ahead of them...

    A 24 year old?!?!?!?

My own son is 23 and I just can't imagine someone doing that to 3 children (well anyone for that matter) at such an age of 24.

Sadly you would think after almost 10 years here nothing would shock me but it still does everytime ... and breaks my heart (hence why I don't post much just read).

This is very odd, you'd initially think it would be a parent.
That's generally why multiple children are killed... by one parent to punish the other.
This is definitely a strange one... perhaps the youngest was spared because they are too young to testify?
I have a 2 year old... I cannot imagine him witnessing the murder of 3 other children. Wow.
