Auction to benefit family of missing Ellsworth man to be held in Sullivan

SULLIVAN, Maine (WABI) - The family of an Ellsworth man who’s missing is holding a benefit silent auction in Sullivan tomorrow.

Organizers say there have been over one hundred items donated from area businesses that are up for auction. There’s also an afternoon spaghetti dinner with an Easter egg hunt and a bounce house for the kids.

Anson Snowdeal was reported missing in early February.

The money raised Saturday will go to his wife and children.

“She never thought something like this would happen to her,” said Dawn King, of Snowden’s wife. “He’s gone almost two and a half months now, and it’s just very hard. There isn’t a day that goes by that she doesn’t miss him and cry. She’s getting better as time goes on, but it’s never going to go away.”

The silent auction to benefit the Snowdeal family will be at the Sullivan Rec Center tomorrow from 1 to 5 pm

A Sullivan man who was last seen leaving a Water Street apartment Feb. 9, according to police, has a warrant for his arrest. The Maine State Police reported over the weekend that the man knew of the investigation when he disappeared.

Anson Snowdeal is 41 and left on foot without his phone or wallet, according to police.

Law enforcement is still actively seeking Anson and information about his whereabouts with regards to the investigation. Anson Snowdeal has an active warrant for his arrest. Anyone with information about his location should contact their nearest law enforcement agency.”

Anson Snowdeal is being sought on warrants charging theft Class B (more than $10,000) and home repair fraud, Class D, which is a misdemeanor. The Ellsworth Police Department has been investigating.

The Maine State Police say Anson Snowdeal was aware of the investigation and pending charges at the time of his disappearance. Police also say there is “sufficient evidence” that Anson is avoiding detection.
