The "America's Most Wanted" television show is drawing more attention to the Marine being sought in the killing of a pregnant colleague at Camp Lejeune.
Cpl. Cesar Laurean has been added to the show's "Dirty Dozen" list, which contains fugitives the show considers most dangerous.

FBI releases altered photo of Laurean

Jacksonville, N.C. — The Federal Bureau of Investigation on Friday released an altered photograph of a Camp Lejeune Marine wanted for the slaying of a pregnant comrade who had accused him of rape.

The photo shows what agents believe Cpl. Cesar Laurean would look like with a beard and darker skin.

FBI agents said they do not know if Laurean has changed his appearance, but thought the picture could help identify him.

Investigators believe that Laurean has fled to Mexico. He was born in Guadalajara before moving to the U.S. and becoming an American citizen.

I haven't really been following this lately because there seemed to be no new developments. But after watching AMW last nite, it occurred to me, have the DNA results been released? Was the baby Cesar's?

A Marine charged with killing a pregnant colleague who had accused him of rape was active online for months as a fugitive, according to court documents released Wednesday.
The documents offer a comprehensive look at the monthslong search for Cpl. Cesar Laurean, who is charged in the death of Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach, 20, of Vandalia, Ohio.
Though he fled to Mexico in January, Laurean's constant contact with his wife and family eventually led to his arrest in April.
According to motions filed by prosecutors, he frequently logged into an e-mail account belonging to his wife, Christina, and left her messages. A person using a computer in Mexico City also accessed the couple's joint bank account.
