Documentation sent. Thank you.

Hello,
I’m new here and I wanted to reach out and see if anyone needs any help with any cases in Nebraska or Colorado? Also any tips on where y’all get some good info would be great. Thanks!
How about Arizona? I’ve been trying to see if I could get assistance with solving the oldest cold case in Maricopa County, Az. I worked for the victim’s brother in Fort Worth, Tx. He flew to Phoenix at least once a year to meet with detectives. He died as did his mom never knowing. Her name was Jane Langdon. She was 21 years old and abducted, raped and murdered in 1963. She was visiting her mom who was here for some procedure. Very wealthy and respected family. I do know they never found her suitcase. I believe that might be a key to solving if it’s not too late. I am going to request police files under Freedom of Information Act.

Is this (in the clipping) him? I wonder if the court system would have records from that long ago. Attached article says he was given 3 years probation in August 1977. If he stopped reporting to his probation officer, I'd think there would be a record of that. County is still an issue. Article has him in Deland but the burglary was in Pine Lakes (Lake County) and I have no idea how that all works but it might be a place to start.

Yes. That is him. He was arrested a few months before his suspected murder while living with his sister in Lake County.

Thank you SO much for the idea. I found his personal detail information in a criminal history check done through the State of Florida. Although I knew he had been arrested, I had no idea that he had survived long enough after this to have been convicted. Much appreciated.

You are most welcome. So glad you were able to find some needed info. And welcome to Websleuths!

Hello, I’m a new member to this site. My background involves law enforcement here in the Houston,Texas area with the bulk of my almost 30 years of experience being in Crime Scene Investigation. My areas of specialization include crime scene photography, scene analysis and reconstructions, firearms examinations, and digital forensics (cell phones/towers and computers) as well as DNA collections and other aspects of the crime scene field. Prior to today, I didn’t know this site existed until I watched Into The Fire: The Lost Daughter on Netflix. I’m here to look around and see if there’s anything that I can help with because I’ve seen first-hand the devastation and grief that families experience when a loved one goes missing or is the victim of an unsolved crime. The site looks like it has a lot of information so if I can help don’t hesitate to ask. Thanks.
Thank you for your service. I am new to the site and have no experience in LEO. I am a retired business owner. I own a medical-surgical company specializing in Business Development, Sales Consulting, and Development.
I am a curious person who likes to ask lots of questions. I was recently certified in Trauma Therapy.
I want to help and support people searching for their loved ones.

wow, making a mental note to reach out to you when I am trying to make sense of crime scene evidence as trials approach. I am anxiously awaiting the trial of Richard Allen in the Delphi double homicide in October.

Hi there. Name's Gabrielle. Friends usually call me Gabby. Or Gabs. Nice to meet you all . I reside in Virginia! Looking forward to enjoying this forum.
Welcome @COSMO58 and @happy.af.wtf and anyone I’ve overlooked. See you around. :)

Just want to let you know that you're not alone! I'm new, as well, and finding it hard to decide or figure out where to hone in and start digging. The advice below to search for cases in your state is very helpful. Wishing you the best of luck! If you ever want to put your head together with someone else who's trying to find their way here, you are welcome to reach out.
Same here. I am overwhelmed with the amount of cases and postings on this website but I really want to help if at all possible. I will be glad to partner up with you sometime if it helps.

Welcome to Ws one and all, very happy to see more people here to help! :)

Sometimes posters find it easier to start out with a familiar area and move on from there to other locales.
Pretty much all the threads are of interest to me, but i started out with a couple of missing person cases, then cold cases and unidentified people threads, as they all seemed intertwined in various ways.
Local crimes in the news caught my interest, then crimes and everything else happening all around the world, one case leads to another.. fwiw, imo.

Greetings everyone, Anthony here, newb member who has known of WS for a while but only now getting around to join. I am friendly with a few documentarians who have connected with WS in their work, and look forward to participating here.
My family has always researched its genealogical history, and as I got older (now 52) I delved down the same genealogy rabbit holes as my uncle and family have done. However, I began to find connections to modern and historical (older than 100 years) true crime events. I have even searched WS and I am not surprised to find a few modern cases bearing my family name. Sickening to know I am connected, how ever distantly, to those who have conducted themselves in such disgusting acts and ways.
My uncle worked at Willowbrook State School at the same time as Andre Rand, and my other uncle was a responding officer to the Defeo murders 11/13/74 at 112 Ocean Ave. The are but 2 of many familial connections I have found, direct or indirect, to criminal events. Do they sound familiar? ;-)
It is my hope that by joining here I can connect with fellow researchers, and communicate with the community to learn more of areas of interest, and perhaps if I am able, pitch in a wee bit. In recent days I have have hiked extensively around Willowbrook Park in Staten Island, which was at one time part of Willowbrook State School. I have visited the site of the Ethel Louise Atwell abduction, cited here on WS, and took pictures and video illustrating how the landscape has changed since then.
At work, and late, so TTFN,
Anthony B.

Hi! I’m Tamia. I found the site while watching “Into the Fire” my wife and I sit up at home investigating different cases and stuff (games) and we also do some digging for real life crimes as well to attempt to “solve it” together. I figured being a part of this community with having that as our interest would help families, etc. and really make a difference versus just doing it “at home”.

I’m happy to be here and happy to meet everyone

I'm wondering if you or someone else might have the ability to find any other articles relating to his disappearance. I've since learned from my aunt that there was an article in the Deland newspaper about his disappearance which references the police department and officer assigned to his case. If I can find that information, I can confirm for the cold case detective which agency was investigating so we know where to start looking for his missing case file.

It is so GREAT to see all the new members.
You will find the members on Websleuths are kind and willing to help.
