GUILTY MI - Baby Boy Mitin, newborn, Meridian Township, Dec 2014

Documents detail how mother of missing baby hid pregnancy
The search for Melissa Mitin's newborn baby had intensified the night of Jan. 12 when police went to the Okemos home where the 25-year-old lived with her parents and sister.

Two days earlier, Meridian Township police searched the home, but "no sign of an infant was found," according to court documents obtained this week by the Lansing State Journal.

At about 10 p.m., a social worker along with police went to the house and spoke with Mitin's parents and her older sister.

All three, the documents say, "did not appear to have any knowledge that Melissa (had been) pregnant."

They apparently believed Mitin had been diagnosed a month earlier with "poly cystic fibroids," according to the documents. Her father is a pharmacist and her mother is an attorney, according to testimony.

How could someone "forget" what happened to her baby? I'll bet she knows exactly what happened to him and where he is.
Emir Jennings mother doesn't remember where she left her precious toddler baby boy either. Somehow, he just vanished into thin air on the drive from Atlanta, Ga to Columbia, SC.

A pharmacist and an attorney. Apparently both swimming daily in a river called Denial. SMH and then there is this from your link:

The documents also describe how Mitin's parents, P and D, on Jan. 10 were "non-cooperative" with Child Protective Services and "refused" to say where Mitin was or provide her phone number.

During the Jan. 12 meeting, Mitin's parents told police Mitin was working that night at an athletic club, Court One. Officers went to the facility and learned that she hadn't worked there "for a year," court documents say.

Unbelievable. The woman was working on her master's degree and can't remember what she did with her baby. Her father is a pharmacist and her mother an attorney, and they didn't talk with her about sex due to their church upbringing. Parents didn't know she was pregnant--twice! Gave birth at home twice without anyone knowing? She got medical care until a short time before the birth. This whole thing is very strange, and with the parents not cooperating with police. Who paid for the medical care during her pregnancy?

Jan, I believe in one of the articles it stated that she didn't seek medical care except for the only visit about a month before she delivered the 2nd child. That MD is the one who reported her and the alias she was using. So very sad.

How on Earth was this woman not supervised 24/7 after the baby was born!? Drug addicts have their kids taken immediately from the hospital but a MURDERER is allowed to bring an innocent baby home? I am just baffled.

I don't believe these babies were born in a hospital.

I can't find anything new about this baby. :(

Authorities say they have circumstantial evidence that a child born to Melissa Mitin after she had been charged with murdering her first child also is dead.

Meridian Township police were able to corroborate “circumstances surrounding the concealment of the pregnancy, the birth of the child and the destruction of the infant’s body” after receiving new information in June, prosecutors said in a court document filed last week.

An Okemos woman charged with murder in the death of her first baby left her second newborn in a dumpster after giving birth while free on bond, according to court records...

Dunnings said there haven't been charges related to Mitin's second baby because proving beyond a reasonable doubt that the child was born alive and that Mitin caused its death could complicate the charges related to the first baby.

Please stop having babies. This lady needs psychological help. She needs to be contained until she stops having babies or she needs to be sterilized.

Melissa Mitin pleads GUILTY of newborn baby's death found in trashcan in Michigan | Daily Mail Online

13 April 2016

A 26-year-old woman has been sentenced to 27-40 years in prison for the death of her newborn daughter who was found face-down in a wastebasket with the umbilical cord and placenta still attached.

Melissa Mitin, of Okemos, Michigan, gave birth to her first child, a baby girl, in the bathroom of a family friend's home in December 2013 - and then stuffed the crying child in a trash can - the jury heard.

She took a plea deal on Friday, admitting murder of the second degree so that all other charges would be dropped against her.

That included charges related to her missing newborn son, who was born while she was out on bail.
