Mom's Facebook profile: Dasiah Nolove Jordan
Ummm, the second fb post leaves me speechless.
Yes me too. Also read the comments.
Some people are just so mean!
I can’t imagine leaving the baby before the sitter came!! NOTHING is that important. Smdh
When did this crap of your hair and nails become more important than finding suitable housing for your baby?!?!?! WHY would leave a baby without an adult?!?!?! Stupidity!!!
During Tuesday's arraignment, the judge noted that Jordan had previous felonies and she was charged as an habitual offender. She was given a $25,000/10% bond.
Detroit mother, babysitter bound over for trial after baby falls through hole, drowns in basement
Dasiah Jordan, Tonya Peterson charged in case
From link above.....
During the preliminary examination Friday, Jordan's 10-year-old daughter testified that Peterson told her to watch Ca’Mya. The girl said she had to open the door to watch what she was cooking, and her baby sister got into the room and fell through the hole.
The 10-year-old said the hole was covered up with a cardboard box that had "danger, watch your step" written on it.
So the 10 year old was left babysitting AND she was cooking!!! TEN!! At some point that 10 year old is going to blame herself for the death of her sister. I hope the “ mother” never gets near those kids again.
Detroit mother, friend to be tried in baby girl's drowning
This article has more details, but it is still confusing as to whether mom had really secured her housemate to babysit or not (unless it is just recycling older content that said mom left before babysitter got there). So very sad for older sis.
"Jordan's daughter tetified that she was at the stove making noodles, while Peterson was watching TV and talking on the phone. The girl said she set Ca'mya by the kitchen table, and the baby crawled into her room. The girl then noticed the baby was missing and alerted the rest of the household, who began looking for her.
The girl said this isn't the first time the hole has caused issues in the house. She said on one occasion, her leg had fallen through. On another, a family friend fell halfway through and had scratches on her stomach."
"She wanted to sit on the couch and watch TV. So what did she do? She put the responsibility of a 11-month-old baby onto a 10-year-old child and said come get her, come take her out of here, you better watch her - and that was how she babysat. That is not responsible, especially when she is the homeowner who lives in the house and also knows that this hole exists," she said.
[The judge] said the 10-year-old was the one who wrote, "Don't step on or you will fall," on the piece of cardboard sitting on the hole.
"I hear cases every day and the just the fact that the 10-year-old is the adult of the family, watching kids, cooking for kids, trying to make the room safe - I don't understand.
2 women headed to trial after baby falls through hole, drowns in basement
Found the video of the hearing, it helped. So kids were left alone, and the housemate came home later.
