As for the search. I honestly believe if the authorities believed Carnell wandered away and became lost, they would continue to search through the night.

There is NO WAY they would not continue to search through the night if they believed this child would be found alive.

We don't know where mom was during the day or evening Thursday.
We don't know what time Carnell was last seen alive and safe.
We don't know who may have been in and out of the house the day or evening of Carnell's disappearance.
We don't know if drugs or alcohol may have been involved with the adults who were supposed to be caring for Carnell the day of his disappearance.
We don't know who saw Carnell alive and well the day of his disappearance or when he was last seen alive and well.

Way too many unknowns at this point.

Children are our most precious gift. When are parents going to stop leaving them with just anyone? :(

But Cubby, what basis would they have to believe he is NOT alive?

Cubby it's my impression that the "pool" is not at the home. It's at a facility, maybe a campground or the like? Basing that on something the cousin said in one of the news comments, I'll try and find it again.

That's what confuses me. I've seen that and something called "the hill" mentioned in a MSM comment. I don't know what is meant by "the hill".

Also, msm states he was last seen at his home, yet on the map we linked I don't see anything that looks like a campground type facility nearby.

So... that leaves me wondering, where exactly did the boyfriend 'lose' Carnell? At home, somewhere else?

ay yi yi.

An unbelievable story from the boyfriend. By calling the disappearance "suspicious" that tells me they are not buying the story given by the boyfriend, even though that story has not been made public.

I don't believe they are referring to a campground in the traditional sense. Indian reservations in Michigan are usually very modern communities setup like an apartment community, (houses instead), with a clubhouse type structure, pool facilities, police facility, etc. There are of course variations depending on the tribe and reservation.

Here's your explanation of "the hill" Cubby.

Ok, this makes a little more sense, thank you, Knox.

Here is a map from the above link:

Wondering then if moms home is on Tomah or not? Maybe I interpreted previous msm incorrectly thinking moms home is on Tomah?

When was the last verified sighting from others than bf or mom? He could have been gone a lot longer than we know....

I don't have sound. anyone care to transcribe the video at the above link? tia

See ABC news video at link. It states Carnell was being watched by the boyfriend at the home. Boyfriend states he was in a small pool behind the home, then he realized he was missing.

People looking for Carnel Chamberlain took a break today to pray together for the boy's safe return. Many have been looking for the 4-year-old since Thursday night.

"It's cordoned off, and it's shoulder-to-shoulder search right now."

Family members say Carnel was being watched by his mother's boyfriend in her home in this subdivision. The boyfriend said the boy was in a small pool behind the home, but then noticed the 4-year-old was gone.

M.F. is the boy's uncle, and while he's upset that the boy was left unattended, he just wants to find him. "I'm just hoping he's lost, you know. Just trying to find his way back to wherever he can find someone to take him home, you know.

An AMBER Alert was not issued after Carnel vanished. "There are certain qualifications before an AMBER Alert can be given, and this case doesn't meet that criteria yet." One of the critera being, there was no sign of an abduction.

At Tribal Operations, a command center was set up to coordinate search efforts. Dozens of people volunteered. "We just need to find this little boy. Community is helping and people need to get out and help.

R & S C. of Harrison heard about the missing boy and came right away. "Kids are important. We just wanna find him before anything happens serious." "Cuz I'm a grandma. I have grandchildren, and I would want all the help I could get if they were my children missing."

M.F. has been looking for his nephew since last night, and are amazed so many others are looking as well. "It makes me feel proud that there's actually people out here that have that much feeling and care about someone that they don't even know."

Thank you, SheWho'. I can't imagine leaving a 4 yr old unattended in a swimming pool for even a moment.

I don't think we know what time the 4 yr old was missing from the pool. Just the time mom noticed or asked where he was and then reported him missing. Sure would be nice to know how long it was between the time Carnell was last seen in the pool and when mom reported him missing.

i totally agree with that AND a casino within blocks... my fear is that the bf wasnt watching him in the pool....kwim? i sure hope that is not what happened hope and they get some awesome dogs going in the reservation and find out wth is going on...off rant :moo:

Even thought the casino is close - you wouldn't know it from those 4 roads - its all rural.

We were doing a "tight grid search" let me tell you what - I will never again say "why didnt they find them the first time" We were 45 across about arm or so length apart. There were people there whisking through - and we were walking through thickkkkkk brush, raspberry bushes...thickets..you name it. Just seems they could have missed something so easily.

I am not going to repeat what I heard there, but when they called us off everyone was hoping it was because they had found him. But, we were told it was because they were afraid it was going to start raining on us in the dense woods we were about to enter.

Search resumes tomorrow at 1pm they had us sign up.

I know one thing - the jeans and everything else I had on were good, but next time im wearing my hiking boots!

Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe Tribal Fire Department members searched through a Dumpster on East Tomah Road in Mt. Pleasant Saturday evening, looking for clues on the whereabouts of 4-year-old Carnel Chamberlain, who went missing from his home on Tomah Thursday night.

“I just want him home, I don’t care what happened,” Jaimee said, and another person in the crowd at the home added, “We just want a safe return.”

“I want to say to whoever has him, can you please bring my son home? I just want him back, I’ll give whatever amount of money or I don’t care what. I just want him home.”

Carnel’s mother, 21-year-old Jaimee Chamberlain, sat outside with friends and family, waiting for news.
“I just want him home, I don’t care what happened,” Jaimee said, and another person in the crowd at the home added, “We just want a safe return.”
Jaimee said she has just gotten home from her job at Isabella’s restaurant at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort Thursday when she learned that Carnel was missing. She looked around her yard, and “knew something happened” when he wasn’t near the house.
“My son’s not a wanderer,” she said. “I always thought I’d have one of those kids you almost need a leash for, but he never went far, he stuck close.”
