It is shocking for sure but just looking at the guy, it don’t seem like he presents any out of wack behavior. Obviously we need to know more but a lot of books are judged by the cover. I would fully understand if this lady wanted to remain anonymous but I’d love to hear her if she decided to explain the situation.

I thought of that when I read the Bundy mention in the article. I remember the interview where his ex girlfriend told of she and him having a nice dinner on an afternoon after he had committed one of his sick crimes. It’s just a guess but I tend to think the lady in this case probably didn’t have a clue that he was a monster. I know I’m getting ahead of the discussion with that but it’s just a thought.

I have to think that this one would earn some weird looks even in prison. I can imagine the conversation going something like this:

Colby to new cell mate: "What are you in for?"
New cell mate: "I held up a liquor store. What are you in for?"
Colby: "I ran over an old woman with my truck so I could have sex with her dead body."
New cell mate: Blank stare.

Deputies arrested Martin that day and booked him into Van Buren County Jail. Martin quickly posted a $300,000 cash bond and was released pending further court proceedings, according to court records. Those records, however, say he broke a condition of his pre-trial release in January when he tested positive for Fentanyl. Martin posted an additional $75,000 cash bond and once again was out on pretrial release.
During the livestreamed court proceeding, Detective Andrew Galor informed Judge McKay that the investigation into Martin revealed that the defendant had downloaded pornographic videos that featured “dead” and “unconscious” women after the disappearance of Rohrer.

What judge would give that creep bond??? That's a judge that needs to be thrown off the bench. I live in Michigan, so I'm not too happy about having Colby Martin roaming free in my state.
