Found as couple of FB pages I think are Cory's. Won't link them as I am not 100% but the surname is not common So the two that came up I believe are both his. Not finding anything for mom but that is because the name is much more common and I don't have all day to wade through the many Foster "possibles"

"He was loved despite what anybody says," said William Lowe, the uncle of Immanuel Foster. "It made me sick to my stomach. I watched this little boy grow up. It's hard."

It was William Lowe's sister, Victoria Foster and her husband Corey Rimson, who were both arrested for the torture and murder of the little boy.

Woody said investigators were working with state officials in Saginaw, where the family recently lived, to find out if any complaints had been filed there.

“We heard that there may have been some (complaints) but that hasn’t been confirmed,” Woody said.

Police said the stepfather said the boy, who was dead on arrival at the hospital, came to him about 5 a.m. and said he wasn’t feeling well and was vomiting. Doctors didn’t believe the story and called police.

The couple had been living in Saginaw with Immanuel and two other children. The 28-year-old male moved to Detroit with the three children in mid-September. The mother stayed behind in Saginaw for work, but returned to the home two days before Immanuel was taken to the hospital.

in the link provided by kimi above, defense attorney Christine Grand says "the child" (Immanuel) may have had a medical condition to account for his very low weight and that the ME has no idea what caused the death of "this poor child".

I would love to ask her what variety of medical condition would cause the burns his little body was covered in.

Sorry, this one still gets me so angry it is hard to post.

I know defense attorneys are there to defend the constitutional rights of the accused. However, this comes off as disgustingly slimy, self-serving, and just flat out unbelievable. It's a textbook example of why I find criminal defense attorneys despicable.

I get that she has a job to do, and it IS helpful to her case that the ME could not nail down a COD although the MOD has been determined to be murder. That will be useful to her in defending her client.

But silence can be golden and her comments could only serve to alienate the public from which she will ultimately be receiving her client's jury. IMVHO she should have simply kept her mouth shut and saved it for the court room. I mean, she can't really think she is going to rehabilitate her client's reputation in the court of public opinion and that somehow will help? Just my own, you understand.
