For the most part, Troy has always been a safe place to live and work which is among the reasons that the north-suburban Detroit city drew so many families and businesses. DH and I lived in Troy for 19 years while raising our DD. While the circumstances in the two cases (Patrick Mikes, Sr. allegedly murdered by his son in late July and the Little infant) are decidedly different, two murders in less than three months is very unusual in this idyllic community.
