Found Deceased Mi - Nathaniel Bishop, 15, Chesterfield, 25 May 2018

Missing: Nathaniel Bishop, 15 years old, from the 52000 block of Vanburen in Chesterfield Township (24 Mile Road and Gratiot area). Nathaniel is 5'-7” and approximately 140-150lbs.

He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and black shorts, and he was riding a gray mountain bike (picture attached / no longer has rear rack on it). Nathaniel may be carrying a black bag with additional clothing in it.

The Chesterfield Township Police Department is currently seeking any information that would assist in locating Nathaniel Bishop. Nathaniel was last seen at his residence on Friday May 25th, at 6:00pm.

He left his residence on his bicycle after an argument with his mother and has not been heard from since. It is believed he is carrying a black bag with additional clothing.

Chesterfield Township Investigators, and family and friends, have been actively searching the area and locations where Nathaniel was known to frequent, but have been unable to establish any form of contact with him.

Police focusing on 8-mile stretch for missing teen Nathaniel Bishop

The search team is covering both residential and wooded areas from 23 Mile to 26 Mile, and both east and west of Gratiot. The search began at 8 a.m. at Higgins Elementary School.

"Although appreciated, at this time we are not asking for volunteer participation in the search effort," police said in a statement.

Crime Stoppers is now involved - they're offering a $2500 reward. Mary Bishop is doing what she can to get these missing posters up all over.

Police reported that Nathaniel Bishop, who ran away from home May 25, was found just before 5 p.m. dead of an apparent suicide in a secluded wooded area north of Hickey Road and east of Gratiot Avenue.

How horrible. And his poor mother is going to have to live the rest of her life knowing their final words between them were harsh. No one wins in this kind of outcome. How devastating.
