Runaway Juvenile Reported to NOPD Third District

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating a juvenile female reported as a runaway.

On January 12, 2021, 14-year-old Corriel Coleman (pictured, black female, 5’2” 95 pounds) reportedly ran away from home after getting into an argument with her mother. Coleman reportedly packed a bag with clothes and her school laptop then exited the residence. She was last seen wearing a gray jacket, a jean jacket, gray leggings and white shoes.

Anyone with additional information on Corriel Coleman’s whereabouts is asked to contact NOPD Third District detectives at 504-658-6030.

10 Days ... Corriel left her home in New Orleans, Louisiana after arguing with her Mother, on Tuesday January 12, 2021. She was reported as a runaway, to NOPD 3rd District the following day and a public information was issued. She packed a bag of clothes, and her school laptop before leaving. Schools in the 3rd District supplied students with laptops for remote learning during this pandemic, laptops could well have pre installed software needed for connection and to identify unreturned laptops. IMO, it would be worth a check to see if the computer could be located and ... wonder if it was.

I almost missed this post, here in missing persons resources ... I have read there are many public schools throughout the district that continue to offer nutrition programs for students, student can attend at any school and have a take away lunch or an eat-in meal ...
