I presume this news media is allowed as it seems like MSM from Angola.
Lots of interesting info in this article!

A 24 year old love interest (Elias) hired 2 other guys, offering them $50,000, with a $400 advance. They went for their pay from Elias and he only gave them $9,000. Jackie provided a knife (from the US). They met at the prearranged site, when Jackie would go off into the woods to urinate. and then they staged a theft attack and stabbed Beau.

The ol' peeing-in-the-woods alibi. Good one, Jackie. What a mastermind.

looks like the guard outsourced the murder.. things always get complicated when you outsource stuff....

Note to self .. always do the job yourself... most likely, the guard blabbed,,,.. ... after the other blokes folded... oh dear, dearie me.. convoluted in spades...
But so cookie cutter too.

Two cases in Florida are playing out to this same scenario right now.
Husband Dan Martel, killed by a hitman arranged by ex wife's brother .

Husband Jared Brigerton killed by a hitman arranged by ex wife's lover .
Women manipulate. And get men to do the actual act of murder, and think they are free and clear...

I literally think this entire thing is bull.
I don’t believe for a minute that Jackie had relations with a 20 year old native.
I don’t believe there was an offer of $50k for an assassination- which would equate to millions of dollars in a country where a decent monthly salary is $250- that’s ridiculous.
I believe these guys stole $5000 from Jackie and family - one was supposed to be their own security guard. I believe they killed the husband and tried to frame her after they were caught.
Lastly I think hell would freeze over before Jackie would want to stay in Angola with her kids and without her husband. They repeatedly complained of safety issues/ danger.
This is far fetched and ridonculous. Who believes this crud? Whoever made it up must hate Jackie.
All IMHO

The entire story is a bit hard for me to believe. Maybe some truth in there? Something just seems off.

I am not sure that the money amounts being reported here are categorised as American dollars...more likely to be Angolan Kwanza... the current rate of exchange, Kwanza, to US dollar is around 11 cents...

60,000 AOA
National flag of Angola
= 65.75 USD
National flag of the United States of America
at the rate on 2024-11-09.

1 AOA = $0.0011 at the rate on 2024-11-09.

It is a huge, huge deal to arrest a white woman missionary , in Angola, or anywhere in Africa, in Nigeria, in Kenya, in South Africa, even, in Somalia, in any point of the compass.. a huge and delicate operation, requiring Parliamentary input, Ambassadorial and Consulate input and co -operation, there would be consultation with all the other missions, of all faiths, the Muslim mosques, the Catholics, the Baptists, the French missions, the Belgian missionaries, everyone of any importance to the economy and civil deportment.

Superintendent of Criminal Investigation Manuel Halaiwa would have to have a very strong case to be permitted to pursue this line of enquiry, as it has the capacity to result in missions withdrawing from Angola, possibly, in haste and in droves.. the only ones who would not be consulted would be the Chinese mission, .. what, the Chinese have a mission?? indeed, they do , except they don't go after souls, they build railways that gain enormous influence, every growing, these railways become lifelines and a huge economic engine ...

I think this is a very important point.
And I think they must have so much evidence that the extended family and the church is not questioning the charges (at least publicly).

Of course they also might not be publicly questioning things since they want to keep ongoing relations with that country. But I think this is much less likely the factor in this case.

All I want is for their children to be ok. I want the legal process to be fair and quick so that the children can move on, knowing one way or another what happened to their father.

I think this response makes sense.

I don't know what to think, tbh!

So if we look at the details - of course none of it may be true - but here goes. So the 3 of them (the couple and the guard - presumably not 5 kids to add to the mayhem) are driving along somewhere. The (alleged) destination would have been planned in advance, to allow for an ambush. Of course the husband would have known what the alleged destination was - I wonder if he had the chance to mention it to someone? Or possibly the trip and destination were genuine, and the ambush was only planned after the trip was planned. Perhaps the plotters had been waiting for a suitable journey, ie one through some countryside, rather than urban streets. The guard is driving, as it was mentioned that he pretended the car broke down. If he wasn't normally the driver, that might be suspicious in itself. So presumably hubby was in the passenger seat, and wife in the back. When the car stopped, the driver/guard would have got out and opened the bonnet/hood, as men do (whether they know anything about engines or not :) ) Didn't the report say that the husband was stabbed in the car? If so, that was pretty quick. Why wasn't he also getting out to peer at the engine? And if he was stabbed pretty much immediately after the vehicle stopped, wifie leapt out of the back seat and disappeared behind a tree at lightning speed, didn't she. The alleged 2 attackers, where had they been waiting? Behind the trees, by the side of the road, already in the vehicle? Too many questions. Why don't we all meet together and do some roleplaying?

Agree. I was thinking likewise.

Corruption is rife in these countries and lives can come cheap... It sounds like an inside job and then framing Jackie.

Check Dan Markel: murder outsourced by Adelson family.
Now trials +++.
Murderers in jail, and now the family that outsourced the murder.
HEHE.

I don't wanna play the part of Jackie....... Can I be Superintendent Manuel, can I , can I?...

no more corrupt than Report: Corruption in U.S. at Worst Levels in Almost a Decade

'“Second, and increasingly important, are these series of really bombshell exposés by media outlets that are demonstrating how much dirty money is flowing into the United States’ financial system,” he said, referencing a joint investigation published by BuzzFeed News and the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists last year that revealed how major banks had knowingly allowed trillions of dollars of suspect financial transactions to go ahead, enabling drug kingpins, kleptocrats, and terrorists to move corrupt cash around the world. I don’t. I think it went exactly as they said. I think Jackie is a grade A nut job and did everything they are accusing her of.
