MN MN - Joshua Guimond, 20, Collegeville, 9 Nov 2002

This story I'm sharing with you is concrete proof that guimond could have been missed in the two lakes. You can't just say we used sonar, we used that, and say the area is cleared.

In this story divers and sonar were scanning exactly where Jesse Dadys body was the whole time, but didn't get a hit until the sixth day. One more day could have found Joshua Guimond, but to never search it again without finding him yet, thats what gets to me.

"Stearns County divers spent 10 hours Thursday searching two areas identified by sonar equipment as areas that may contain Dady's remains. The search turned up nothing, and the county hadn't planned to continue its river search after Thursday, Bechtold said."

Dady was there.

"He said that sonar used early in the week had cleared the area between the railroad bridge and Veterans Bridge, with the exception of the two spots divers examined Thursday. Officials postponed the river search until investigators had more specific information about where to search, he said."

Dady was there.

Body believed to be Dady found during river search

One thing I want to make clear is that putting focus on the bridge over stumpf lake was not a mistake and still isn't. It is still possible he is buried in muck and was missed by the cloak of dark water. If we had a witnessed abduction or a painting of footseps on the ground of what happened it would be a different story. But today there is 2 places josh could be, in the lake or taken by a cult or person who can only help us by confessing.

The family found records that JOSH ENTERED HIS APARTMENT between 11:05 and 11:10 pm on 11/9/02. His computer showed that he signed off at 11:29 pm. This proves he went missing from his apartment and NOT walking home.

If this is absolutely true, the case has just been flipped on its head and the possibilities are new and endless, but also solveable. It takes away the lakes.

If this is true why isn't Grandpa Bob stating that as fact in this 2009 interview, all they say is none of his cards have ever been used.

Listening to KVSC's interview with Grandpa Bob, (KVSC :: Podcasts :: Interview Marks Year 7 in Disappearance of St. John's Student) the host (who directly knew Josh) revealed that Josh had taken a trip to the Bahamas his freshmen year (around 11:10 in the interview).

In my opinion, the same people who botched the Wetterling case also mishandled the disappearance of Joshua. Questions: If you knew for a fact that the location from which a male college student disappeared also housed numerous, documented sex offenders, where and how would you begin your search? Would you begin by checking the alibis of said sex offenders for the night/early morning of November 9/10, 2002? Would you investigate as to whether Josh (or other students) had expressed any concerns about any of these sex offenders and whether he crossed paths with them on a regular basis? Would you note anything unusual about that night, such as, was the incinerator run when normally it would not have been on a Saturday night? Based on the presence of sex offenders housed on the campus, would you obtain a warrant to search the entire premises, including the monastery, rooms of sex offenders as well as their computers, any tunnels or other locations where these individuals might have spent time? Would you check the vehicles of these offenders for any potential evidence? Or, instead, would you ignore all of the above and look in the woods and the lakes, pronounce that Josh may have been eaten by turtles or sunk in the mud? If this was your son, would you be okay with how this case has been handled? Now that Grandpa Bob has passed on, after years of dealing with the stress and heartbreak over the disappearance of his grandson, who do you think is still actively searching for Josh? Stearns County? St. John's University? The Abbott will never reveal all the secret confessions he has in his vault of lies, but there is still a chance someone else on that campus has information that could be helpful in solving this case. Who might that person be? Another monk, former student or church official? How honest has the church been in general about the multitudinous sex offenses committed by the clergy? How much faith do you have that Stearn's County has been and continues to be committed to finding out the truth about what happened to Joshua? And how committed do you think St. John's is to finding out the answers about the disppearance of one of its own ?

Because the computer hard drive WAS NOT properly forensically analyzed until the spring of 2010.
SCSO had Josh's computer for only 2 weeks, they said they were not able to find anything of evidentiary value.

Any and all information, and or evidence recovered from Josh's computer was recovered by KMSP-TV.

On the surface, it appears that the police did a cursory search, searched the lake and completed interviews. In reality, the family and a local news station did all the detective work.

Stearns County publicly announced that Josh disappeared after walking home from a party around midnight. Josh’s former girlfriend explained that a key card is needed to enter Josh’s apartment. The family found records that JOSH ENTERED HIS APARTMENT between 11:05 and 11:10 pm on 11/9/02. His computer showed that he signed off at 11:29 pm. This proves he went missing from his apartment and NOT walking home. This narrows the suspect pool considerably. The last known whereabouts of a missing person is key to an investigation. Stearns County have NOT corrected their information.

Stearns County gave Josh’s computer back to the family after two weeks looking at the hard drive saying there was nothing important related to his disappearance. The family took it to KMSP FOX 9 reporter who had a forensic computer analyst look at it. The story aired on 05/24/10. The computer expert looked at his hard drive, emails and files stored on the St. John’s server. There were only 3 deleted emails in his deleted file. This in itself is unusual as Josh was known to his family as a pack rat. ALSO, ONE EMAIL IN THE DELETED FILE WAS DONE ON 11/10/02 at 1:52 pm, almost 14 hours after he was reported missing. SOMEONE ACCESSED JOSH’S COMPUTER.

KMSP found that a student of St John’s University named Adam McDonald logged on to Josh’s computer from 11:48 pm on 11/11/02 until 12:40 am on 11/12/02. Josh went missing around 11 pm on 11/09/02. Adam did a search and went to a internet washer website which allows you to remove any websites that were accessed on the computer. It is available in stealth mode. KMSP tried to interview Adam for the story, but he declined. Stearns County was unable to find this when they had possession of the hard drive.

Josh’s thesis was missing from his computer. He was working on a paper regarding the Catholic sex abuse scandal. The family stated that Josh was upset about two priests accused of sex abuse being transferred to the church in the Bahamas. He felt they should have been prosecuted by the law instead of SJSU handling the situation themselves. The thesis was saved on St John’s computer server which can be accessed by anyone in the IT department at the school. SOMEONE DIDN’T WANT JOSH’S THESIS PAPER ABOUT PRIEST SEX ABUSE TO BECOME PUBLIC. Police failed to interview the head of the tech server.

Lastly, Detective Dave Hoeschen from Stearns County Sheriff’s Department told Brian Guimond (Josh’s dad) on 01/27/03 that BRIAN needed to prove that Josh never left the campus. Isn’t that the responsibility of the investigator?"

Caught in a Coverup
Posted on November 9, 2009

On October 2, 2002 the St. Cloud Times reported that a settlement agreement between St. John’s and several victims had been reached. Three days later, and one month before Joshua Guimond disappeared, another article appeared in the St. Cloud Times.

This October 5, 2002 article was about Brother Isaac Connolly taking a leave for “conduct concerns”. According to Abbey spokesperson William Skudlarek there was one allegation, that “Connolly’s conduct does not fall under any legal definition of sexual abuse”, that “the allegation does not involve a student”, and that Abbot John Klassen didn’t know about the allegation until the spring of 2002.

The previous paragraph contains four separate lies by the Abbey and Abbot. They almost got away with it.

Brother Isaac Connolly was accused of two separate incidents of misconduct with students at St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota. After supplying and drinking alcohol with a 19 year old student, Connolly took a nude shower with the 19 year old male. In a separate incident, after several years of grooming, Connolly made an attempted to sodomize a 23 year old student.

Connolly had plenty of contact with students at both the Prep School and University between 1975 and 2002. Connolly worked in the SJU residence halls until the first incident occurred in 1979. He was then shipped off to Japan for several years. According to a former monk, Japan was a known destination for monks who had been caught. Connolly returned to work at the Prep School in 1986. [Note: Connolly replaced a departing Father Dunstan Moorse, who was being sent to New Mexico for therapy.]

The Abbey learned of the first accusation against Connolly in 2000. What happened after that?

According to St. John’s PR Machine: “Br. Isaac Connolly, dean of students and director of residential life, is on an administrative leave for the 2000-01 academic year. During the year, Br. Isaac will be visiting other college and university residence life programs to study residential learning communities.”

The Truth: Connolly went to St. Luke’s for therapy.

Br. Isaac Connolly returned to campus and worked in several capacities including a stint as assistant to the vice president. According to St. John’s University spokesman Michael Hemmesch, “Connolly is one of the most visible monks to university students”.

In May of 2002, Stearns County Sheriff Jim Kostreba met with the Abbot to ask to review the records as part of investigations into two unsolved cases (the Reker sisters and Jacob Wetterling).

It is believed that Brother Isaac Connolly was not part of that May of 2002 record review, even though the Abbey and Abbot Klassen knew of his past. Connolly was not fully investigated when Guimond disappeared either.

There is no evidence that any monk had a role in the disappearance of Joshua Guimond.

There is plenty of evidence that many monks at St. John’s have abused, threatened and violated students on campus.

Each monk should have been investigated.

The story of the 19 year old in the shower made me consider another possibility in the very suspicious death of Bruce Wollmering. Is it possible Bruce some sort of an advance towards a student who wasn't having it, and administered a Bruce a beating that ended up taking his life???
This to me fits the autopsy report more so than a slip and fall.

Heartfelt thanks to Corrupt2theCore for laying out all the facts and presenting a clear timeline of events. This is deepy appreciated!! I, too, have always been of the mind that Wollmering was murdered. No one wanted this possibility to be known due to the can of worms that might be opened. I have also felt that Wollmering may have consorted with like minded deviants within the community = a perfect set up for blackmail. Consider the possibility that if his particular needs could not be met on the campus grounds, he might have pursued other opportunities. There are never good people inhabiting that world.

What does josh's hard drive have to do with the security entrance of his apartment building? You're saying his computer logged every time he used his card to enter his building? You're changing facts without exactly knowing, and thats the last thing we need.

This is easily the most important statement and possible evidence in this case right now. The thing is LE or the media needs to verify these records are true, because they haven't.

Was Josh the only one that could of used the computer that night? Maybe it was his roommate or someone else.

If we can take away the lakes, one of two possibilities in this case, that would be huge.

Are you serious? Stumpf Lake has been searched by multiple diving teams, dragged repeatedly, completely DRAINED the section by the bridge, not to mention cleared by the number one water search team in the nation. Even saying that there is a possibility of Josh being in that lake is not helpful to any investigation.

That being said, cadaver dogs have repeatedly gotten hits in that lake. These dogs are capable of detecting bodies under water and silt over 15 meters deep. I believe that there is a body in that lake, just not Josh's. This lake was thoroughly searched when he went missing and would most definitely been found if he was ever in that lake.

Give us a cadaver dog because we haven't found Joshua yet. Technology itself isn't far enough yet to clear lakes, rivers, and swamps with certainty.

BBM

What was the content of this email???

IMO, whoever deleted this email AFTER Josh went missing, knows what happened.

How do you know this? Wonder if Finian McDonald was in the thesis. What are the chances they're related?

Because it is said Adam is the one that used software to wipe information from Josh's computer. The thesis went with it.

Imo if you want a person of interest right now it is adam. Who uses software to wipe someones computer as if they won't find out or come home?

Does anyone have the KMSP story regarding Josh's hard drive saved anywhere?

I can access the page via wayback machine, but the video will not load.
Investigators: Searching for Josh

Fox 9 archives only go back to 2012, so I can't retrieve it that way. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated.

I'll make some calls.
