Are there road cameras or is LE relying on house CCTV along the route?

In California none of the CalTrans cameras record, I suspect MN is the same. But I'm not finding cameras in the 43 corridor.

"If you have searched a particular area, please consider emailing the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office at search@co.fillmore.mn.us and describe the specific area and method that you used to search. This is the most specific search area that law enforcement has identified at this time."

Organisation will be tricky and chaotic, I fear.
I’m guessing many of the landowners will inspect amd search their own property. I wouldn’t want random people searching my property. jmo

Since this search seems to rely heavily on people helping out the LE, with people needing to be firstly aware of the issue and secondly willing to check their CCTV footage and search their properties and land, perhaps the family needs to change tactics and actually start engaging with the press. I know that's a double sword but it's sounding very much like a desperate search now. :(

I'm not sure if they've received information from the townships they were asking about earlier and they are moving onto the next township to track the route or if they're just going from one township to the next.
I'm wondering if they've received more video. Or maybe phone records? MOO

From the Fillmore County Sheriff's post:

"This is the most specific search area that law enforcement has identified at this time."

"They'd like people living in the areas of Norway Township, Preble Township, northern Newburg Township, eastern Holt Township, and eastern Amherst Township to check their properties for any signs of Kingsbury."

The problem is that this is not only a vast rural area, but lots of (mainly?) privately owned farmland. Lots of crops and livestock operations. Private land is often a holdup in missing persons cases. I can think of a handful off the bat that have stalled solely because of issues getting permission to search. MOO the police are working their butts off on the investigative side to pinpoint an exact location, whether that be cell phone data, vehicle information, video, etc. If they can’t come up with a specific spot, it may sadly come down to luck or hunters.

Now that they are looking for Madeline in areas away from Winona, at what point would a POI be announced? If police are looking in other counties it seems less likely that Madeline drove the minivan back home herself. If something happened to harm her perhaps it didn’t happen in the van. That would seem to mean finding her is the only evidence of harm… trying to be sensitive here but concerned that whomever “helped” Madeline disappear may not be punished for their involvement.

All my own opinions. I woke up thinking of Madeline and still praying for a miracle ❤️

There is some chatter about a potential press conference this afternoon. I’ll update if timing is announced.

I’m actually thinking this might be a good thing to get the word out about her being missing when many people are not on Facebook. There hasn’t been much media coverage so expanding the exposure can only help to find her.

MOO

I am even following the "the search for Maddi" facebook page....
All those people......... all those volunteers.... wow.
Me too. Very impressive that so many want to help & are searching, going door-to-door, distributing flyers, etc. It's a model effort IMO. Also encouraging (insisting really) no one search alone but always go in pairs or more is quite wise. Some feel the use of GIS searching by strangers reporting what has been search to LE is unwise but it's a very large, very rural search area so the more eyes the better IMO.

Per press conference:
Maddi got home around 8:15AM Friday, her van left her home around 10AM and returned around 1:30PM.
Looking for any video footage along 12 to 43, down 43 and back (also looking for “negative” footage showing no van along the route).
Phone, jacket, wallet, ID all found at home. No indication that she left on foot. Confirmed van is not missing. No suspect/POI.
There was hesitation when asked if LE knows who was driving the van between 10 and 1:30 (initially said no, then said they couldn’t share), so pretty clear that they do know or at least suspect (MOO).
$50,000 reward.
Her children are safe. Her mom, dad, and sister were present (sister spoke). Brother is on his way home from an overseas deployment. It’s unclear whether Maddi’s children’s father/his family were present, but they were not up front.
Disappearance considered involuntary and suspicious.

If you want to watch the press conference it is on Facebook on the KSTP-TV site. I live a couple hours from her area, but have no personal connection. I have been following since it was first announced and many friends posted it.

Thank you for sharing.

Heartbreaking to see the family going the this. I hope Maddi is found soon.

This is link to today's press conference:
per LE in press conference:
Maddi returned home from dropping children at day care at around 8:15am. The father of Maddi's children told LE (at~1:38 in tape) that he "left the residence in Maddi's van around 10am and upon returning later in the day Maddi was not home." LE said that there is no indication that Maddi left either on foot or in another vehicle. They believe Maddi's van remained parked in her driveway from 1:30pm Friday on.
