A member asked me to start a thread for this poor little boy. At this time, LE is conducting a "death investigation". Family says his death was an accident.

Unanswered questions about 8-yr-old Northland boy’s death, and mom’s suspected suicide attempt

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police confirmed Thursday that the mother of the boy found dead Tuesday in a Northland town home is the same woman whom police rescued from the river after she jumped off the Bond Bridge.

On Tuesday, Audrick Warren's father found him dead in the bathroom of their home in the 5800 block of North London Avenue.

That same morning at about 10 a.m., someone reported seeing a woman jumping into the river from the Bond Bridge. Fire crews were already on the river for a training exercise, so they quickly moved the boats to rescue her. She was pulled to safety.

Wow! I'm glad she didn't succeed in her attempt. I know we don't have facts but I don't see an 8 year old accidentally drowning in a tub. Poor little guy. He's a cutie and was celebrating the Warriors win. People suck!

"An investigation into the boy's death continues. Published reports say Kansas City police have not confirmed that the case of Audrick Warren's death and his mother's attempted suicide are connected."

Audrick "Audi" Warren, 8, was found dead Tuesday in the bathtub of his family's home in suburban Kansas City, Mo.

"Hours later, the boy's mother, Aushena Warren, 27, jumped from 80 feet off the Bond Bridge in Kansas City into the Missouri River in what is being categorized as an attempted suicide. NBC-TV affiliate KSHB reported that Kansas City firefighters, training nearby, rescued Aushena Warren. She is hospitalized."

Peace and comfort for this family....

Well people can die accidentally in the bathtub if they slip and fall and hit their head, then drown.

Maybe she blamed herself for not checking in on him when she heard a noise.

Just my speculation, of course at this point.

Prayers for both parents.

True. Would be better than the alternative.

Possible, but doubtful. As a mother, if I found my child like that, my first instinct would be to dial 911, not go jump off a bridge.

Leaving the other child in the house.

"KC bridge jumper charged with abandoning son’s body after his bathtub drowning"

"An autopsy report concluded that Audrick had a bruise on the top of his skull and that he died from drowning. Prosecutors said Warren did not call 911, try to contact authorities or seek medical help after Audrick apparently drowned.

A witness told investigators that he had heard “a head bump” three times, making a sound that he likened to a basketball bouncing off a person’s head."

"Audrick’s brother reportedly told investigators they were home with Warren and the two were given “pink” medicine that morning."

"The witness arrived home and found Audrick wearing underwear and Spider-Man socks lying in the bathtub filled with water. He pulled Audrick out of the tub, placed him on the floor and called 911."

Grrrrrrrr.
Yes, indeed, a life sentence, without parole.
