Sturgal was in military? He had a military funeral service
I already knew about that one, apologies.
Nice catch! Perhaps it got faded from being washed
I wouldn’t have given it a second thought.
It's not so much 'spoiling' as it is the fact that new clothing cost about the same back then as it does now. I can buy 3 cheap bralettes for $15; they would also have been $15 in 1982, when wages were so much lower.
Also we weren't nearly as worried about hygiene as we (very rightly) are now, because we didn’t care that much or know that much. I mean, everything stank of tobacco smoke even if you didn’t smoke; it was just an unclean time.
I've had similar experiences writing on fabric. There's a lace portion of the bra and a non lace portion and pen just didn't work on the packer portion.
Strange that anyone would have a name on a bra......
I wouldn't put my name on mine....
There must be a story, because I can't think of a reason..
So it didnt get mixed up with her sisters' or roomate's
Even then I know what is mine and what is not..i grew up with 2 sisters and we shared one washing machine and we never marked anything.
Maybe she used commercial laundry services at some point?
I agree, maybe she wrote her name and the washing itself kinda distorted it.
