Are you asking me what inspires people to racism and hate? I couldn't even attempt to answer that...other than to say it without a doubt exists all over the world. However I believe there is infinitely more love in this world than hate.

I don't think he plans on being a cop anymore. Maybe. But I think he is more afraid of he or his family being attacked or killed in retribution.

I was just having this exact discussion with my partner.

Plain x-rays aren't always able to see fractures in certain types of bones. Plain x-rays are great for seeing fractures in long bones (femur, tibia, humerus, phalanx), but fractures in what is termed irregular bones can be missed on a plain x-ray. Most docs will order a CT scan or MRI in head/facial injuries, since the skull (which includes the bony orbit) is composed of irregular bones.

I don't know if DW suffered an orbital fracture or not, but this new CNN "source" who allegedly claims an x-ray didn't show a fracture is meaningless, IMO.

No doubt the ER doc ordered either a CT scan or MRI. Those images would be much more conclusive because they capture cross-sectional images.

I've been in and out all day but when did Jesse Jackson get called to the carpet by local protesters? Wow!

Odd, that there is so much discussion about black parents warning about interactions with the police.

My parents had the exact same conversation with me, repeatedly. I'll admit as a teen, I was mouthy and sometimes defiant.
But the talks my parents had with me sank in... I was NEVER mouthy or defiant to a cop...ever. And it would never even cross my mind to.

YES, we do. If a large group of people are going to have ongoing protests and create mass media surrounding their cause, then YES, it should be a case that is worthy of their efforts. How about a true case of a cop unfairly stopping an innocent kid and using illegal unjustified force?

Seems like the crowd is being allowed to congregate. They are calling for the DA to step down.. Why do I get the feeling that this is not going to end peacefully??

I think it is because most of us on here know that a police badge requires (by law) respect. We may not like the police officer wearing it but while he has it pinned to his chest the badge is what we have to respect. jmo
