According to family members, Rickey left the house with an unknown individual in a vehicle with Illinois plates. He did not take any personal belongings with his, and told his father he would be back soon. The family has not heard from him since.

Rickey really reminds me of the John Bell Doe reconstruction images, just with a different haircut. Age and timing would fit, especially if he really was headed for California.

Interesting, he was born 11 June 1959 San Diego California. His mother (deceased) name was Glenna Lee Tobin.

Personally, I have always believed that Rickey Enochs was indeed a victim of John Wayne Gacy and that Gacy may have dumped his body in an unknown location.

Has the California lead been investigated? Was the friend that went with Rickey to California interrogated?

Rickey never had brain surgery as a child, did he? I was looking at possible matches for a "John Doe" found in California in 1979, #UP2514, but the John Doe had had prior brain surgery, so that rules out almost everyone... (Link to John Doe:

I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere but I was thinking he was a John Wayne Gacy victim…

If anyone has read the book Omnipotent: Don’t Ask Don’t Tell by William Dorsch.. Dorsch mentions that Gacy had dug holes on multiple occasions on an apartment complex. Years later Dorsch and a guy had used technology that could detect bodies underneath soil and it had pinpointed that there was likely bodies buried below this apartment complex.. the city of Chicago Dorsch claimed did a fake dig and somewhat witch-hunted him after the fact.

He had also corresponded with the family of Robert Winch who the Chicago Tribune had reported was a foster care runaway.. but was in reality living in a group home and often had difficulties attending school.. to add family also identified him. But he was one of the out of state victims and his brother had mentioned to Dorsch that a source told the Winch family years later that he had been picked up with a job offer from a McDonald’s by Gacy and never seen again… was supposed to be picked up by his girlfriend from the McDonald’s.

Mostly saying Winch an out of state victim disappeared in a very similar manner to Enoch’s.. left in a vehicle and never seen again. Which is similar to Enoch’s last seen in a vehicle with Illinois plates and expected to be back.
