Ruud (39/now 42), “mother” arrested & charged (8/21/17) & indicted (9/20/17) with 1st & 2nd degree murder, abuse of a child resulting in death, tampering with evidence & abandonment of corpse. Plead not guilty. Denied bond (10/16/18).
Bench Trial began on 6/27/22 (thru 6/29) before 31st Judicial Circuit Judge Calvin Holden in Green County in Springfield. Held beginning at 8:30 a.m. each morning Monday through Wednesday.

Day 3 of Rebecca Ruud Murder Trial

-- Big reveal with the Adoptive Mom completing her testimony today (June 29, 2022). S. Lackie had at least half a dozen diagnosis on her health records... Adoptive Mom (T-L-M) says since grade one (1), the teen started seeing doctors and receiving medication for mental health issues... it appears that T-L-M had difficulty coping, looking for any way possible to get S. Lackie out of her home. These testimonies were coerced out of T-L-M, when faced with medical reports.. failing to clearly admit all the traumas that occurred.. even suicidal attempts by S. Lackie..and report of neglect against the adoptive Mom by the adopted girl.
These scenarios got so out of control, it appears the adoptive Mom was doing everything to have the right number of diagnoses to possibly institutionalize S. Lackie for life!

-- Regarding Murder.. there's a lot of allegations but nothing conclusive to show, that S. Lackie was Murdered, or how she was Murdered.. All the public have been shown, based on reportings and testimonies confirm; finger bone fragments and dental (not clear how many), used to make a positive identification.

-- It is possible that R. Ruud, do know what happened to S. Lackie, while in her care... but whatever it is... Is clearly a source of culperability; we'll never know. R. Ruud refused to take the withness stand!
Certainly, R. Ruud defense team did not focus on a Murder defense!
R. Ruud, ought to at least make a closing statement..or address the court and the public.. anything less and her faith is already decided..

-- It is my understanding, that S. Lackie was entered into the missing child/children data base, when she was first reported missing in 2017... It's quite evident S. Lackie, met foul play, because we do not know where she is, or what eventually happened to her...

After some research it was revealed, that Cremation Ashes could be tested for DNA.. but this did not happen in this case.. therefore, no idea what really happened to S. Lackie, and the Trial is basically over..!

All we really know is, that everyone saw S. Lackie as a burden... so how did they get rid of this special burden?

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Testimony heard Tuesday revealed new information about the day investigators found the body of a missing Ozark County teen.
The first-degree murder case against Rebecca Ruud continued in Greene County. She’s charged with killing her 16-year-old daughter Savannah Leckie.
“I try and keep things simple,” said Joseph Marsillo.
He assisted Ozark County investigators in their search for Leckie.
Ruud told authorities Leckie ran away from their home in Theodosia in July 2017.

State's last 3 witnesses today are "jailhouse snitches" as the prosecutor referred to them. The judge ruled AUDIO ONLY as all 3 are no longer incarcerated.They have concerns of media exposure. They are expected to testify that #RebeccaRuud confessed to killing her daughter.

The adoptive mother of #SavannahLeckie started to cry while discussing the Mother's Day card she received from Leckie in May 2017. Her biological mother #RebeccaRuud is accused of murdering her in Missouri.

An inmate claimed that #RebeccaRuud told her that she put some crushed pills into Kool-Aid and gave it to her daughter #SavannahLeckie.

An inmate described how #RebeccaRuud allegedly drugged and put her daughter #SavannahLeckie in a burn pile alive in 2017.

BREAKING: State rests in MO v. #RebeccaRuud. 10 minute break while the defense speaks with Ruud about decision to testify or not.

6/29/22 Wednesday, Trial Day 3: State witnesses: Tamile Leckie-Montague, adopted mother of Savannah back on stand continuing cross by defense. Buddy Smart, worked on farm. Audio only for inmate #1 Jessica Wahlens (sp?), who was housed with Ruud & heard her confess. Inmate #2 Sarah Johnson, another inmate who was housed with Ruud. Inmate #3 Cathy Hilton, was housed with Ruud.
State rested their case.
Ruud decided not to testify. Defense submits Motion to Dismiss/Judgement for Acquittal-denied.
Defense witness: Aimee McBeth, Sgt. at Taney County jail. A defense stipulation on testimony of Boyd Garrison, who was the first responder to the fire & “thought” he saw Savannah in the truck with Ruud at the gate. Attorneys & Judge in chambers re maybe a rebuttal by the State.
Defense rested their case. State rebuttal a stipulation from Keith Gwin, administrator at Taney County re how long Hilton was in lock down. Judge accepts stipulation. State rests their case. Motion by defense, 2nd Motion for Judgement of Acquittal-denied.

Murder -- Rebecca Ruud Bench Trial in Greene County, MO U.S.A.

Defense closing arguments were heard today, June 30th., 2022... cutting through all the who did it and when, or why!

--Defense in collaboration with Rebecca Ruud, herself told the court that S. Lackie, died because she was in fact injured in the reported fire on July 18, 2017..

--Further to this the teen was kept in the camper trailer, isolated from others.. so no intent to seek medical intervention.

--The Teen died of her injuries, no idea exactly when, or what date?

--Rebecca Ruud admits to burning the teen's body in the burn pit (as per her legal reps)

--How Ruud and Peat, managed to burn the teen's body, so that only finger bone fragments and 13 teeths were discovered; is unknown!

--Again this is a troubling Defense at best.. The problem here is that neither Ruud nor Peat, are doctors and neither one can pronounced death.. and they had "No" authority to burn a human body!

--It is reasonable to understand, why they never sort medical treatment for the teen considering they did not have medical insurance for her.. and such would be costly.. But why conceal a body that you believe has no life?

--Further, why take it upon yourself to burn the body... then report the teen missing?

--Conclusion.. I have to agree with the judge here.. this is not a forgivable act!

The more we live the more we encounter insanity of phenomenal levels... in my wildest imagination.. I could not imagine Ruud, actually guilty of committing such heinous inhumane acts.. Very troubling! The prescribed medication picked up on July 19th., 2017.. was for herself!
