St. Louis County police this morning found a 10-month-old baby girl who was in a carseat when her father was murdered and the vehicle she was riding in was carjacked.

The 10 month old child, Ivory Roach, and the 2000 Lincoln Navigator that the child was riding in were found about 7 a.m. at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, said a police spokesman.

"The child is reported to be in good shape," said Rick Eckhard, the spokesman for the St. Louis County Police Department. "Our detectives are on the scene and continuing with the homicide investigation of the father."

Tionna Roach, 31, was shot to death and his auto with baby Ivory in it taken last night.

The St. Louis County Police Department had activated a St. Louis Area Regional Amber Alert (S.A.R.A.A.) at 12:30 a.m. today after the baby -- Ivory Roach -- was determined to have been in a car seat in the back seat of a blue 2000 Lincoln Navigator that was stolen in the carjacking. The car has 20-inch rims and Missouri license plates with the number 7AS61R

No mention of the baby's Mom yet. I'm glad the baby is okay... at least until middle school when her name will target her as someone to be ridiculed.

I'm so glad the baby was found safe. How awful that she was in the car when her dad died.
