I'm curious if she had more than one phone, like a burner phone. It is a possibility with her lifestyle.. I feel like most 20 year olds don't go without their phone. My gut feeling is she's alive.

I agree there could be a second phone. That occurred to me too. There could also be an app on the phone or another gadget (computer/tablet) she has access to which allows her to use it like a phone. Still going to guess this is unlikely, but if some people's theories that it's a scam turned out to be correct, something like that would factor in I am guessing.

I just had a thought about why she might get pulled over regularly.

Someone many pages back mentioned that her car is registered to Wichita. The standard KS plates list your county in the upper left corner. It would be normal to see someone from Johnson or Wyandotte, but Sedgwick (Wichita) is 2.5-3 hrs away. It might be odd to see someone from out of town driving around at that time of night. Maybe officers want to know if you're lost or up to something? Just a thought.

Agreed. Perhaps they were familiar with her because of a previous interaction, perhaps they somehow associated a bf or other person who'd been pulled over with that license plate...perhaps they're just concerned when they see a young woman traveling that late and night.

His theories sound practical and reasonable, especially when taking the GPS information into account. I don't really like the way he's always talking about "my sources" but won't give any kind of background about who exactly these "sources" may be. Are they LE insiders ? Are they PI's ? Are they his beer drinking buddies ? Anybody with an opinion can qualify as a "source", whether it be your next door neighbor, your nosy in-laws, the guy that picks up your garbage on Thursdays, or the check-out lady down at the local Wal-mart.

BTW--If you are gonna ask people what they think about something, make sure and link it so people know what you are referring to.

His video is about 6 pictures down from the top of the screen here: https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=kc crimefighter

FYI. Just in case some of you didn't see it, a moderator came on yesterday and asked us not to talk about sleuthing the boyfriend or mention the twitter/facebook page of the Kansas City vigilante guy. He/she said it falls under rumor in terms of service and we can't speculate about anyone bc the police haven't named a person of interest. I know it's a fine line...I've been trying to find additional reputable sources to prove/disprove anything I read on sites we're not allowed to mention..

You could be right but generally speaking when someone uses the phrase third times a charm it's to mean the first two attempts were failed. Again jmo [emoji4]

Very true.

I know everyone keeps saying that absolutely nobody was in the car. However, do we know that definitively? Someone could have been in the floorboard of the backseat and the cop could have easily missed that. I mean, normally it would sound farfetched, but we have a missing girl here whose GPS was disabled at the point of where she was last seen.

I didn't know about any of that, too busy working and not enough time spent reading. They can delete the link I posted when they come in here, it's been too long now for me to do it myself. I guess they don't want it discussed for the same reasons I was talking about, he's basically naming people and fingering people without any kind of legitimate proof other than his "sources".

Perhaps some will view her employment or interests with alarm but there's little in what I've read of her FB to indicate she's something other than a bright and caring young woman. Now, the bf.... Would she have been so stupid as to fake a disappearance to reap rewards? California's Papini case might have provided an unhealthy blueprint for them....

of course that guy shouldnt be discussed, he is publicly naming people suspects based on random people sending him tips and he has been wrong several times already, i understand why people are drawn to him and want to believe what he says - because what he is doing is everything you arent allowed to do on here lol.

I believe transmission from device was every 8-10 seconds. This was a device that tracked speed , not GPS destination from my understanding of the device. Showed time of day driving and speed. Two things important for insurance companies.

The 8-10 second information is what I had initially heard, too. It was that particular information that gave me pause ... an accident scenario is extremely unlikely if her GPS tracker transmits location at such frequent intervals.

I see what you're saying though ... it tracked SPEED AND TIME, NOT LOCATION at 8 second intervals.

So ... if the time increments on LOCATION are actually spaced further apart, an accident is #1 on my list.

Gosh, I hope that all makes sense!

last thing i saw in the media was that it was not a GPS device, maybe i missed an update idk

I know it was mentioned earlier, but I'm still curious about the guy from work that said she was "adamant" about going to get gas. That had to be proceeded by him strongly advising her against something, as in possibly, "You need to go home and get some rest", etc. and she says, "Yeah, I need to get some gas first" ect.

Doesn't his comment about her response seem to imply he was trying to convince her to go straight home, possibly? What I am trying to say is, why would he be so against her going to get gas that she became adamant? I mean, who protests someone saying they need to get gas? He wouldn't want her to risk running out of gas at that time of night, would he?

At first, I thought he might have been advising her to go straight home because of the road conditions, but looks like, from what locals have reported, it wasn't that bad? Or certainly not on the major roads? Or was she possibly impaired and he was advising to go straight home due to that?

Hi all,

just thinking out loud - maybe she 'did' stop by that QT at 31st, and didn't see her friend or their car, and maybe thought her friend meant the other QT at Burlington?

Anyone good with maps? How long would it have taken her to drive from Chrome to the QT at 31st, and then to the other one? Considering we know she left at 4:11am and got a ticket at 4:25am - so that only 14 minutes. Possible??

or if she did make it home and her BF did something to her, as others here have suggested...

Where ARE you Toni???!!!

How's my timeline look? Does she live on Grand Blvd, or Grandview Blvd?? I ask, as it first said Grand Blvd, and then where her father asks about see her from 5am to whatever time it was - it states Grandview Blvd. TIA.

She lives on Grand Blvd. I'm behind so that's probably already been addressed. :)

I'm confused by this..I don't recall anything being said that it was a guy who stated she was adamant about getting gas. Just a coworker.

But I get what your saying about her being "adamant". Probably a convo that went just like you've described.

It was the boyfriend who said it, but I assume he said it after he spoke to her friends at Chrome? Otherwise, how would he know she was adamant on going to that gas station. he was asleep all night:

Pete Sanchez, Anderson’s boyfriend, told the station that she was a server at Chrome, an entertainment bar, and left work shortly after 4 a.m. He added that she was “adamant” about going to the gas station.

I did read somewhere that her friends had told the boyfriend she was adamant about getting gas.

I think Scout is right that this is a word worth honing in on. If the weather forecast was bad, even if it didn't pan out to be, I could see a manager encouraging her to go straight home...which could solicit the "I have to get gas first" response.

She could've just been vocalizing that she was worried about being on possibly icy roads this late because she *knew* her car was very low on gas. I'm sure a lot of us have let our tank go lower than we should have at one point or another and then had a moment of worry about it. If that was the case, she might've been asking about the closest station, stressing that she HAD to get there etc.

She also may have been adamant she had to stop at the gas station "for gas," but really it was because she was expected there for another reason...

Could be, I found this:

Before leaving work, Toni Anderson told some of her co-workers that she needed to make a quick stop at a Kansas gas station. Her colleagues said that Anderson did not offer additional details about why she needed to reach the station, but observed that she was quite adamant about it.

I think the cops need to start conducting polygraphs.........if this wasn't a freak accident, and chances are good that it wasn't, then somebody isn't being totally honest about what they know. The person(s) that lawyers up and refuses to cooperate is the one they need to look into the most.

Ahh, thanks, I thought it had been the guy who escorted the girls to their cars at the end of the night for some reason.

There have been so many contradictions in reports. I believe she was meeting someone at QT. Was spooked when LE pulled her over. Perhaps she thought they were tracking her. She unplugs the device, messages that person we will meet elsewhere which is why she turned in opposite direction . Shows up something goes terribly wrong .. she could have even mentioned being pulled over. Friend is spooked . Deal goes bad and she's taken in one car and her car taken to an undisclosed area.. now more than likely pieced out and gone.
