''The first killing was discovered Thursday after an 80-year-old man was found seriously injured at about 10 a.m. in the apartment block on top of the Pharmaprix drug store that has its entrance on Benny Ave. near Sherbrooke St. W. The victim, who had apparently been struck with a blunt object, was taken to hospital where he died early Friday.''

''Police said an examination of that crime scene led them in the early hours of Friday to an address on Henri-Bourassa Blvd. E. near the intersection of Grande-Allée. Once there, police found the body of a 68-year-old man who had sustained injuries similar to those suffered by the first murder victim. He was declared dead at the scene.''

''At a shoemaker’s shop on Henri-Bourassa, owner Éric Bussière said he saw police officers in plain clothes carrying large rifles walking around on Thursday.''

''An SPVM command post was set up on Friday in front of the building where the second victim was found. At dawn, investigators and forensic identification technicians were preparing to examine the area.

Charbonneau has grey hair and blue eyes and is around 5'3". He could be travelling in a 2006 Dodge Caravan with a license plate reading N85 RQY. If spotted, citizens are reminded not to approach him, but to call 911 or the Montreal Info-Crime number at 514-393-1133.
