The deleted BT tweets are shown in this article:

On July 19 at 11:14 p.m., minutes before the crime was allegedly committed, Theesfeld liked a tweet from the account @CauseWereGuys. The tweet included two photos: one was a screen-grab of the video game “Call of Duty,” looking through the scope of a rifle, and the other was of a woman sitting in front of a window.

According to multiple reports, Kostial was last seen sometime after midnight on July 19.

I think the most alarming thing about this tweet is how many times it was retweeted and how many "likes" it got. BT was certainly not the only one responding to it. Scary to me ..

I wonder what “new information” they could possibly be referring to that would prompt withdrawal of bond & request for psych eval. What stunt are they pulling?
Surely his attys knew there was no way bond would be given to BT -- no amount of money would do it.
They may have found a private shrink or psychologist (or both) to see that BT will be given some serious psych problems that caused him to do what he did to Ally, and of course BT has no memory of it. They're looking for a diagnosis of "incompetent to stand trial" and I'm thinking they've found a couple of professionals out there to find it in him, however sound or not-so-sound this will be.

MOO Wouldn’t be surprised if they found him not competent to stand trial, placed him briefly at the state hospital BUT due to severe overcrowding (MS politics, daddy’s money, and Oxford wanting to avoid more negative publicity) as part of the deal, he eventually gets moved to a more appropriate facility for his treatment in the great state of Texas. Wouldn’t that tie it all up with a nice bow on top? Once again this is speculation based purely on past observations of ms politics, judges, lawyers, governors, etc.
Wouldn't surprise me... The best care MONEY can buy, right?
And,

IMO the retweeting speaks to a culture that supports violence towards women.

I wonder how many people reported the initial tweet?

My guess is very few!

I'm confused, how many people reported that someone tweeted "you dropped a bomb on me, my number 1 pick for groovy song of the summer"?? I doubt anyone reported it, what was there to report?

The first picture with the gun and picture of a woman. The tweet was reported as violent content and I'm trying to figure out if it was removed by Twitter or brought down by BT.

I don't think his attorneys believe he is guilty or not guilty. It doesn't matter to them, and I'm sure they haven't asked him. Their responsibility is to assure that he gets a fail trial -- that's all. But we know they will do a bit more that than. During the case discussion with him, if they ask him if he did it, and he says "yes," then they can't ask him to testify . To ask him if he killed her -- as if they would, and he is under oath on the witness stand, and he says, "No I did not," the the attys will be guilty of suborning perjury. Suborning perjury is serious -- Here's a little more info:

I'm days (actually weeks) behind on this thread but this is very helpful info. Thanks!

I have been thinking about this case a lot and it devastates me. With college football starting this weekend, Ally should be excited about the magic of the fall season with friends and parties, and eagerly planning her future. I also feel really bad for her brother, who is supposed to be starting college (I assume since he recently graduated from high school.) This was suppose to be a special time for him as well. Their whole family was robbed and had their hearts torn out by (allegedly) this a-hole.

My question for the forum is -- the grand jury session ends today. So I guess this case isn't going before them during this session since we haven't heard. Anyone have insight to this or what may be going on?

Brandon Theesfeld indicted for capital murder in Ally Koistel death

Aug 30, 2019

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Lafayette County grand jury has indicted the man arrested in the shooting death of Ally Kostial.

Brandon Theesfeld, 22, of Texas is charged with capital murder in her death.

The indictment says Theesfeld kidnapped Kostial and later shot her.

Her body was found in the Harmontown community of Lafayette County on the northern side of Sardis Lake.

Theesfeld was later arrested at a gas station in Memphis.

He is currently being held in the Lafayette County jail awaiting a mental evaluation.

Thanks for the information. I guess that this means she was not pregnant -- otherwise there would have been an additional charge, right? Also, the kidnapping charge is something I hadn't considered. From the timelines that had been published, the last place she was "known" to be was home prior to being spotted at the convenience store via camera. I wish there was more information from the convenience store about her demeanor that night. Did she look frightened?

As an aside, I have thought all along that it was strange that she was known to be at a couple of places downtown that night (just prior to being seen on the video downtown) -- but there was no mention of who she was with that evening, what frame of mind she was in, etc. I mean, we heard she had an exam in one her classes at 1 pm -- and then what? She had a million friends and yet her final evening was something of a mystery which I thought was odd. But now maybe I'm thinking that the secrecy of those few evening hours is due to the investigation -- perhaps it relates to the kidnapping charge in some way.

Here's another similar article -- for whatever reason, I keep getting a "not found" on the other article. Maybe I ran out of freebies on that newspaper.
Anyway, this is delightful news. I wonder if his attys. would discuss BT's agreeing to a plea deal -- LWOP.

As far as whether his attorneys will begin LWOP negotiations, I'm thinking that the results of the upcoming (or maybe, its been completed, already, IDK) psychological evaluation of BT will play some part. The results and significance of the results might provide more negotiating power. And, if it does, I'm interested to see which "side" will use it to their best advantage.

Hmmmm, I wonder if the prosecution boosted the charge to capital punishment if they found that she was indeed pregnant with his child. Makes a lot of sense to me. JMHO.
I thought that but I looked at Mississippi codes and it appears that the capital charge is because of the kidnapping being part of the crime. Synopsis: Mississippi Murder Laws - FindLaw
