'Her mother speculated that she was at the bottom of the Yellowstone River'

The Independent Record - July 7, 1974 - Page Six

Around the time of her disappearance another woman named Peggy Harstad was murdered and dumped in the Yellowstone River, which led to some speculation that the disappearances were related. However, someone has been sentenced in relation to the Harstad case, and the former remains unsolved.
