If there's credible evidence that they're headed this way (Boise area), I wish our law enforcement would also issue an AA. :sigh:
 
Oh my. Been reading up on this one... I PRAY she is safe.
I can't help but wonder if he is actually headed back to Montana. He has to know people will be looking....With that camper would he have funds to go elsewhere I wonder?
That old truck pulling the camper hes going to need fuel more often than just a car obviously. I would like to see alerts like this faxed to service stations, attendants could hopefully recognize someone like this... LE could be on his tail sooner than later. They need to find her fast.

Zahn is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs about 135 pounds, has brown eyes, and short gray-and-brown hair. He has a Tazmanian Devil tattoo on his left upper arm and a tattoo of a cross on his left hand.
 
On Mar 16 he said on his fb that he was taking donation and needs a phone card.

According to the Montana Department of Corrections, Zahn was sentenced to in 2013 to five years under DOC supervision, with part of his sentence suspended, for aggravated felony assault and assault.

:wave: I'm here! I wish that there was more information/activity about this missing girl. I'm in the Boise area and there's been coverage on local media and on SM but not as much as I would hope given that they may be headed this way.

I wanted to mention this because his SM presence gives the impression that he isn't particularly savvy. His friends list is small (<70 people), he makes references like the one above to money trouble. I doubt he planned a perfect crime and instead acted impulsively in taking Sandy. I'm hoping this increases his likelihood of slipping up and getting caught!
 
With that noticeable of a vehicle I wonder if he's currently stationary...

Can't be positive this is the same guy, but the age works out. The one in the following mention would be born ca 1956.

From 11-26-1975, Montana Standard, Butte:

RODNEY ZAHN, 19, of 4201 S. Wyoming will face a preliminary hearing Dec. 9 before Justice Winston on a felony theft charge. Zahn allegedly stole a car Saturday night. He remained in jail under $2,500 bond.

I'm figuring the 2012 offense was not his first tangle with the law and possibly not his first felony conviction.

I'm doubtful that he headed back to Billings.

I suspect he may be somewhere in western Montana, eastern Idaho, or northern Wyoming "camping" somewhere relatively secluded.

No shortage of places to camp in national forests and on BLM land.

I think he is probably very familiar with western Montana, including lands located off of US Hwy 93.

Possible he might ditch the pickup and steal a different vehicle?

Boise may have been his original destination or what he told people; perhaps he has family there.

This is odd.

Sheridan County, MT 911 Dispatch posted an update 17 hours ago to their Facebook page saying that SM is now considered an endangered runaway and that they are thought to be headed to Washington state.

Sheridan County is located in the far northeastern corner of Montana.

I'm not seeing this new info anywhere else so far, but will keep looking.

Hmm...I'm curious about the level of her disability. I'm not sure I'd label her a runaway unless I had information on her disability.
