My friend Jared Wathen (27) on 12/08/2010 was shot multiple times went to his neighbors house, he collapsed and died at the scene, he was a father to a 8 little boy at the time his name sake “little j”
The incident happened at the 3200 block of elmhurst drive in Indianapolis, indiana @ 6:30pm. Witnesses states a dark colored vehicle was seen leaving the neighborhood after shots were fired and were seen driving south on elmhurst drive.

I am asking for any help with this murder with little information! I was pregnant with my 2nd child. When he was taken from us. He was my daughter’s “uncle” if you would say. I met j when we were in high school and we instantly called each other best friends and instantly were in each other’s business my daughter and his son became friends in high school just like he and I did ! We want justice! It’s coming up at 14 years I just was justice.

I'm so sorry to hear about your good friend. That's a shame. :(

The article said there might have been a scuffle that started in his home? Were there any rumours about who might have been there? Did he have beef with anyone? Did someone believe he had money or valuables in his place?

Was he dating anyone with an angry ex?

They were saying it looked like a burglary he came home to. Him and his wife were good. His son’s mom was also in a good place with him. That is what is so puzzling about his case.
