Strange that the Sheriff’s Department and news source does not indicate when she went missing.

Yeah, it's odd. This article now says Aubrey was last seen on Sunday night and last heard from on Monday morning.

I presume "heard from" means she spoke to somebody by phone, probably? Like maybe a parent works nights and called home to make sure she was up for school, or something like that.

FOX Carolina spoke with Sheriff Chris Francis on Tuesday who told us they were still looking for Acree. At this time, they don't know if Acree ran away, but Sheriff Francis says that she has no history of that.

Sheriff Francis said, "This is definitely out of her character and this is very serious to us."

    Who saw her Sunday?
    Who heard from her Monday?
    When was she reported missing?
Why do they believe she suffers dementia or cognitive impairment?
    Why is the threat "extraordinary".

I'm wondering the same things. It seems like more details about her, her health condition (whatever it may be), etc might lead to her being found more quickly.

I think you’re right because it said she was “last heard from Monday morning, both instances she was believed to be at home off Drum Road around 6:30 a.m. in Morresboro. ’

    Teenager missing
Now that a car is associated with her disappearance it does sound like Aubrey may have taken off with someone. This is bad all around but especially bad if she has some sort of mental impairment. MOO.
