We've been group hugging and sharing "shots" of tequila for 20 minutes or so. Welcome to the party. Hugs back.
Just so everyone knows Carolina East does NOT have a Children's Hospital. This tells me he must be in very good condition or else they would've flown him to Greenville--only slightly further from Ernul, and a full-scale children's hospital staffed with Pediatricians.
I didnt follow this case but so happy this child has been found alive.
Its great to get good news since so many other cases dont end up well.
I am truly shocked and so happy that this little boy was found alive. I was not expecting such a miraculous outcome.
I love happy endings. We don’t get them much.
I was happy to hear he was crying and talking, both very good signs. I thought if they found him alive after spending 55 hours in the elements he’d be hypothermic and barely conscious if at all.
Yeah, they said he was talking, which is obviously a great sign.
He probably just needs basic medical care, like fluids and treatment for minor injuries.
I was almost out of hope too. It’s supposed to drop close to freezing in that area tonight and I truly believed that the 3 day mark was the deadline of him having a chance to survive in these conditions. Thank God for this miracle!
HALLELUJAH! I have been anxiously checking in all day. What sweet relief for his family. As a mom of a 3yr old boy - in fact my 3 are the same ages as the three little ones out playing - it’s just so plausible that he wandered off. Also it could be 30 degrees and mine will flat refuse his coat and there is no negotiating with toddlers. (I have to think he was wearing multiple layers to be okay in those low temps.) The only thing that struck me was that the older kiddos didn’t sound the alarms. My girls would tattle in a heartbeat if little bro broke a rule. Then again, we have 28 children on my street and I’ve witnessed them take off. An escaping family pet is very fun to chase at that age. I’m so thrilled for little Casey I’m chattering on! So so so happy! Kudos to the searchers for not giving up!
To have this and Jayme Closs happen in the same month? Unbelievable.
Yes, and I can't begin to tell you how awful the rain and wind were today. My husband's exact words were "it's like we're getting a tropical storm." The inside of my coat sleeves were still wet 5 hours after I got in the school building.
You know what they say about "works in mysterious ways...."
These days, it seems that we do need some assurance that wonderful and marvelous things still do happen.
Many very generous folks helped search, probably helped feed the searchers and the canines, and the whole LE bunch. Good down-to-earth people with positive attitudes, good training, and faith. I'm sure there was a lot of praying and thinking positive thoughts all through this event. I imagine some of those folks didn't expect a good outcome after that first day/night -- I was moving into that territory myself -- but good things still happen, and we will remember this one as we have remembered other amazing victories that we have seen here on Websleuths.
Aah,what a Good Day!
Love to all you folks!
Seeing maybe a press conference coming, waiting to see it from more sources.
And Olivia Ambrose!
My goodness!!! Where did that little boy sleep and eat for two days!!! What a miracle!!!
I dont know the difference between Cat-Scans, MRIs, Xrays, Pet-Scan, etc. I wonder if they are going to run some type of scan to check to see if he has any solid food in his stomach which may prove he was or was not out in the woods the whole time.
I've never followed a thread here this closely that had a happy ending!!! This is an amazing feeling to watch a true miracle unfold! We all needed this! Thank God Casey has been found alive!!!
Oh my gosh!!!!
They will do bloodwork, a CBC and metabolic panel will tell them all that most likely.
