    Deputies search for missing 4-year-old

    Deputies with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a missing 4-year-old child Thursday evening.

    As of 6:30 p.m., law enforcement are staged just off River Road near Snow’s Cut Bridge looking for the child.

    No other details are known at this time.

    We have a crew at the scene and will update this report when we have new information.

    NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - A 4-year-old boy who went missing near Snow’s Cut Bridge Thursday evening has been found safe, according to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.

    Nearly two dozen deputies responded to the Carolina Beach Family Campground off River Road around 6 p.m. after receiving reports of a missing child.

    After a brief search, the boy was found safe.
