Top 10 stories of 2019: Hania Aguilar murder case continues to make news
Thirteen-year-old Hania Aguilar certainly did not deserve the troubling fate that befell her roughly 13 months ago.

The Lumberton teenager went missing on the morning of Nov. 5, 2018, and would remain so for a stretch of 22 days before her naked body was found, face-down, in about 4 1/2 feet of water off Wire Grass Road in Robeson County.

Her case continued to make headlines in 2019.

[…]

McLellan’s next court hearing in the Hania case is scheduled June 1 in Robeson County Superior Court.

Disagree look at the map I posted, the second location is where they found the body it's between the suv and mobile home park, body location is marked A on the link. I think if I were working the case the spot where they found her body would have been one of the first places I would have looked. Search the local water areas first and that is clearly the most likely body of water.
I'm agreeing with your theory. Around here (I'm about one and a half hours from your area), you usually look at the swampy areas for any missing persons with foul play involved. People think that gators will take care of the body.

To clarify, that is not where Aniah was found. It further south on Wiregrass Road, circled in yellow on the attached map. Not that it is all that important, but I was looking at the time for potential dump spots, and never considered the actual location as I thought it would be between the SUV and mobile home park, as you note. If I recall, the perp was familiar with the area, and the location had access to drive into, and away from the main road.
