Found Deceased NC - Heather Marie Williams, 25, limited speech and use of arm & leg, got into a car with an unknown person, Fayetteville, 4 Jan 2025 *Arrest*

the family was told by LE the identity of the person who picked Heather up. To protect the integrity of the investigation they are not discussing that person's identity, which I am sure is very hard for the family. I would want to scream it from the rooftops.

'She goes out the door. She is on the phone with somebody. She is standing outside the house. She looks like she is waiting for someone to pick her up. She sees the car and starts walking towards the car to get in,' Mary explained.

Around 12.10 am a text message was sent the last reported activity on her phone. Police have not revealed what was in the message, or who she sent it to.

She said the police are not sharing very much information with her and her family.

When asked if she knew if the person who led detectives to her sister's body was the same person involved in her death, she said the detectives have not told them yet.

'I know they don’t want us to hinder the investigation we are waiting on pins and needles – we have not been told who led them to her body.’

Mary said the autopsy has not been released which she said has been 'really tough for us.'

[snipped by me to focus on teh DM article dated 1/13/25 and updated 1/14/25]

Her heartbroken sister shared that her sister, who was a talented softball player, was a junior in high school when she was hit by a car when she was walking on a road in October 2015 and nearly died.
[snip
Despite her sister's cognitive disabilities she said her sister just wanted to be a 'normal 25-year-old.'
[snip]
'We tried to protect her and keep her safe but at the end of the day she was 25 and wanted to do what 25-year-olds were doing.'

her family initiated the guardianship action just weeks before Heather went missing. It was their hope to get her admitted to a residential facility where she could continue to rehab and hopefully meet peers who were facing similar struggles.

Per the DM article just above, the family has been told the identity of the individual who picked Heather up that night but the family cannot speak of it as they have no wish to hamper investigation. Mary did divulge that Heather's body was nude when found so the possiblity of sexual assault is high although LE has not confirmed SA to the family one way or another.
Quoting myself to correct something that has been "updated" since I posted the link to the Daily Mail article. When I read it initially it said the family had been told who picked Heather up in the unknown vehicle that night but that Mary couldn't say the identity so as not to hinder the investigation. The article has now been altered and does not read that way anymore. It now reads:

She said the police are not sharing very much information with her and her family.

'They haven’t told us much but my mom said that they haven’t ruled out the possibility of a sexual assault - my understanding is that she was nude or partially nude as awful as that is,' Mary said.

When asked if she knew if the person who led detectives to her sister's body was the same person involved in her death, she said the detectives have not told them yet.

'I know they don’t want us to hinder the investigation we are waiting on pins and needles – we have not been told who led them to her body.’

Mary Williams said that the car her sister was seen approaching on Jan. 4 may have been driven by someone she met online. The Fayetteville Observer reported that police had located the vehicle on Jan. 10. The Williams family told WRAL that the driver had been identified. WRAL reported that police had a person of interest, but no names have been released and no arrests have been made. The station also reported that police were able to trace a 3-minute phone call made by Williams in the days leading up to her disappearance

JAN 14, 2025
A celebration of Heather’s life will be held on Saturday February 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Dominion Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Heather’s love for God, family, and friends will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and peace as we celebrate the beautiful life she lived.

“Known for her beautiful green eyes, contagious laugh, and radiant smile, Heather brought joy to those around her,” her family wrote in an obituary for Williams. “Heather loved to take pictures, fish with her dad, go thrift shopping with her mom, to the beach with family.”

Williams loved children and dogs, her family said.

Still nothing this morning. I am hopeful for an update at some point today. They have her body, which means there is a decent chance LE has physical evidence to process. If there is physical evidence being processed then it takes a bit of time to get ducks in a row. Hoping they have all they need to charge someone for this homicide.

This guy was also charged in June 2022 of kidnapping two people and attempting to kill one of them? Why the heck wasn't he in prison?

Here's another arrest from 2015 - Tyrell Siermons , 20, of the 500 block of Spaulding Street, was charged Sunday with robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was being held without bail.
