    WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police in Winston-Salem are asking for the public's help in finding a man who has been missing for a month.

    James Matthews, 37, was last seen at about 1 a.m. on May 18 leaving a home in the 3900 block of Talcott Avenue, driving a Chevrolet Tahoe.

    The Tahoe was recovered on May 30 at the intersection of Motor Road and Patterson Avenue, but Matthews is still missing.

    Matthews is about 6 feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds.

    Anyone with information regarding Matthews' whereabouts is asked to call the Winston-Salem Police Department at 336-773-7700 or Crime Stoppers at 336-727-2800.

    MISSING PERSON/SUSPICIOUS CARD ACTIVITY: On 05/18/19 James Eric Matthews, African American male, 37 years old (photo below), was reported missing from 3984 Talcott Ave. On 05/30/19, Mr. Matthews' Chevy Tahoe, which he was last known to be driving, was located, unoccupied at Motor Road and Patterson Ave. Investigators have now been made aware that Mr. Matthews' credit cards have been used at retail locations in Northside Shopping Center on 05/28/19 by the white, male shown below in surveillance photos.


    I hope whoever knows this man using Jame's credit card gets IDed immediately.
