iirc, it was published that Mr. Snead has an autism diagnosis?

If so, perhaps Mom does know his exact route, as it is a patterned behavior for him?

Unless he prefers to use a different route each trip, of course.

(Guess I''m really no help here!)

Where are you, Nicholas???

There was nothing in all 3 local news stations yesterday and no updates from GSO Police.
I too am starting to think it is more than an accident. In the city he and the car would have been found by now. I am thinking he either went somewhere he did not want his mother to know or he met someone he gave a ride to and something happened.

Shoffner has known the Snead family for 38 years and said Nicholas loves attending church and learning about scripture.

She said the prayer call will be a 30-minute call. Five other leaders will also be on the call praying for five minutes each.

"We do understand that the authorities are doing their part but this will be the time for us to come together collectively and pray on one accord at the same time believing God for answered prayer," said Shoffner.

[...]

Snead called his mother while he was at the store. After hours went by, she didn't hear from him again.

She told News 2 his GPS location was last located in Greensboro on Holden Road.

"We don't go a day without talking to each other because he stays here but even when he goes to work we FaceTime. We talk, he texts me, we are in constant communication. He's always asking me mom are you ok. We tell each other every day that we love each other," said Nicole Snead.

I just saw this and it is off Wendover. Car engine cold. Prayers!

I had this feeling the last few days and kept watching the news. No confirmation though.
I looked on google earth last week at this very exit ramp and saw this creek. I would think LE would have checked here.
I should have gone myself to look. It really bugged me.
I know the mother drove here looking.
I was right about Wendover.

How could they not look at this exit ramp? It was slick that morning from overnight rain and below freezing temps. When the mother said Bridge I thought it had to be overpass or exit and knew he would take Wendover to get home.
Damn! I had such a horrible feeling looking at google maps.
Poor mom!
No this is not confirmed.

This young man should have been found Christmas weekend. This spot I mentioned in my posts #17 and #20 is literally the only place a car could go missing on his route.

Did LE or anyone even search that area? They could have used a helicopter or drone and found him. This is a heavily populated area and no leaves on vegetation.
I looked at the creek on google maps but was not sure how much water it had but we had rain night before.

The mother even gave his last ping location and it does not take a detective to think of this spot. I want to know what kind of search LE did in this area?
I will be interested in what GSO PD says. I thought for sure they had to have searched this area.

I know it was a holiday weekend and GSO PD are short handed and we had temps in the low 10's but he should have been found at least by Monday.
The search must have been just driving by this exit and not on foot.
Poor mother had to suffer for 2 weeks.

I wonder if he died on impact or if he was trapped in the car and eventually died from injuries/dehydration. Or was the car actually submerged in the creek water? Could he have been saved had he been found sooner? This is just horrible.

Possibly blunt force trauma or drowning or even hypothermia, it was extremely cold that day. When I first heard about him missing I thought it odd he was out shopping that morning when we had weather warnings for slick roads.
He loved his mother and went to buy her a gift for Christmas. They seemed very close and I feel heartbroken for her.

I hope someone questions why this area was not completely searched. We did have rolling blackouts from extreme cold that weekend but there should have been a better search.
I never bash LE but I am starting to think they did not even search here or he would have been found sooner.
How could they not look here thoroughly, he last pinged here?

Channel 2 news just showed that it was a tractor trailer driver who called in 911. He stated he could see the wheels of the car upside down.
I believe LE only drove by this exit and did not do any kind of foot search.
When they news site updates the article to show the tonights coverage, I will update.

That's inexcusable. Everybody knew the roads were slick that day, so they had to have considered a car accident. Smh.

This is just beyond devastating for his mother... may she find the strength and love to go on from here, cherishing every memento and celebrating her son's life... I cannot bear to imagine what happened and the only solace is knowing he is not suffering and I don't even know him...

that poor mom...

Here is the Greensboro PD chief's statement on the search. In my opinion it is CYA. I know the area he was found and it is not a large thick vegetative spot. It is an exit ramp.

Does anyone know if there were skid marks or if Nicolas had ever had a history of alcohol or drug abuse? I'm in recovery and the holidays are one of my biggest times for cravings to use. Also- a fully functioning individual familiar with the area, I'd think he would know that the ravine was coming up and pay more attention around the curve. Are there skid marks?? Was this at night close to a wooded area? If so, possible over correction to avoid an animal? Are there any records on the condition of his car, like if someone hit him from behind and then just kept going? I don't feel like we are being given enough info. Does anyone have any idea if his car is in police custody or a junk yard?

I'm so sorry to bother you, but I am new to websleuths, what does CYA mean?
