Does anyone else feel it is strange we have never heard for sure what kind of work BL does?

I have heard rumors, well driller, contruction worker, government contract worker. Maybe somehow those all fit together. Just strange we have never heard for sure.

Fact...Shaniya was going to be living with her mother from then on. She was not going to be living with her dad anymore.

Fact...The father didn't bother to talk to anyone and ask about the mother's lifestyle...friends...boyfriend...living situation..and on and on. He took the mother at her word which was lies and more lies.

Those are the two most important facts to me and because of these two facts...this baby girl is dead.

    Bobbisangel,

Do you have information to show these as facts?

Ok... I keep running across posts that are posted as facts when this is just not the case. If it is please show links to show it is a fact and not rumor or speculation.

Any more posts I run across that is wrote as fact without any proof and it is speculation or rumors I am going to delete it. If it keeps happening, then I will start giving time outs.

One of his children said she wasn't supposed to be over there.

Brought over from previous thread. In the interview with Brad's friend, Brad is the one that stated "I know she's not supposed to go there, but AD needs to learn how to be a mom."

One of his children(the oldest, in first interview sans BL) also said that AD deserved a second chance.
Does not that imply that AD blew her first chance and something happened during that first time??

Dr Fessel: Very strange. I expected Oprah to include in her backstory, but obviously he'd prefer it stay private. Is it our business? No, but I'm nosey and wanted to understand if Brad is gone three weeks at a time or six month stretches.

My understanding has been that AD raised Shaniya for the first year of her life, then gave her to BL when she didn't feel able to care for her adequately. BL has mentioned her financial problems, and said that she seemed to have gotten over that lately, and had maintained steady employment. From that, I am surmising that, at least as far as his awareness went, her problems had to do with financial issues, and probably resulting problems in her living circumstances.

It seems obvious this could have been prevented. I just do not see where anyone tried to prevent it. But right now everything is mum, so possible more than one did try!

    Bounced between homes

Shaniya has bounced between homes since birth, shared between a mother and a father who conceived her during a chance encounter one night. Carey Lockhart had been the girl's primary guardian because her father, Bradley Lockhart, worked long stretches as a building contractor at out-of-state jobs.

This sounds like he was gone for months at a time, imo.

I would be interested to see why BL ended up with custody of her in the first place as well. It may shed light on why he freely let her go back.

I try and keep in mind that all the info that we've received has come from BL's family/friends...LE has cooberated some but not a lot. I know the lawyer won't let AD talk now, but come trial we'll get her sequence of events.

I copied and pasted from the last thread...

In some states, if something so heinous as murder (or rape) is committed, it can be considered kidnapping anyway unless they can prove beyond a doubt that the parent who "allowed" the child to go KNEW that it was going to happen. Additionally, if AD said (just as an example) "bring Shaniya back in an hour" and he didnt, and he didn't bring her back later (because she was murdered), that would still be kidnapping. I still don't think AD thought he would kill Shaniya (at least not on purpose [wow, that thought made me feel icky]). The same way AD can only be charged with murder if they have some kind of evidence that she wanted Shaniya dead (I doubt they will find searches for Chloroform on her computer *wink wink*).

I personally don't see any way that AD will be charged with murder and tried and convicted. The best I think we can hope for is that the selling her daughter charges stick and perhaps some abuse and endangerment and maybe an accessory charge that will put her in a state prison where she will have to live in GP.

I swear, of the state allows EITHER of these two to plea their charges down, I will lose my mind. :banghead:

Additionally, I believe that Coe may have spilled what he knew about the whole situation. Perhaps he knew that night what was going to go down, and talked his way out of some kind of accessory charge by spilling or saying that he just found out that morning. I've said it before, the police are being VERY careful with who they charge and when because they want all their ducks in a row. I think we have not heard the last of Coe.

Just curious. Has anyone seen anything that tells HOW the police went from searching for a kidnapped child to arresting AD and charging her with prostituting her child?

Questioned this one myself. What prompted Brad to step in after the first year? I can't see Brad and AD sitting down at the kitchen table and calmly discussing what's best for our child. Could be wrong. I'd like to think that Brad stepped in when he saw she wasn't able to parent. That's a good thing. Think of Shaniya's life if she had spent her entire five years with AD.

In some article somewhere it was said that AD gave Shaniya over because BL could provide a better life for her. But that BL was always cooperative whenever AD wanted to see Shaniya. (Sorry, I am not so good at digging up the links. If anyone else remembers this, please post one).

I'm cool with people disagreeing, and giving reasons for interpreting his behavior differently. It's even fine to politely say I should add "to me" after the "he's made it clear", although I wrote the post you took that line from as a hypothetical to begin with. (I have been very careful think through my posts carefully, to stick to what we do know, and to add the JMO, etc.)

Being disagreed with never bothers me. What does bother me is to be "called out" by someone challenging my beliefs as coming from "total speculation of a few prolific posters who seem determined to slam this father regardless of how little is actually known with any acceptable degree of certainty regarding this whole situation?" That's both inaccurate and personally insulting, not only to me, but to many people here who deserve much more respect for our views.

Does that make more sense, now? :) I'm not angry; I'm just hoping we can all be respectful of each other's abilities to deduce different things from the facts on hand without being chastised for our deductions.
