Weird that there is such little info out there and not much attention to this. Seems she would have friends screaming from the roof top IMO

We won't hear about them (here) voicing their concern unless we can link to it, so I can only say that IMO, they are vocal.

If this ends up being self-harm, I think she went there because of the bridge.

How is suicide perceived within the Hindu culture?

Religious views on suicide - Wikipedia
In Hinduism, suicide is spiritually unacceptable. Generally, taking your own life is considered a violation of the code of ahimsa (non-violence) and therefore equally sinful as murdering another. Some scriptures state that to die by suicide (and any type of violent death) results in becoming a ghost, wandering earth until the time one would have otherwise died, had one not committed suicide.[40]

The Mahabharata talks of suicide, stating those who commit it can never attain to regions (of heaven) that are blessed.[41]

Thank you, PM! Maybe she made some sort of comment about self harm, and that was the reason for the short time between when she left the house and when communication with the authorities began. That's MOO, and I don't have anything to suggest that happened, just spitballing here.

It's Eastover-ish, between Providence and Wendover.

A friend of hers said she has been dealing with some health issues recently & had lost a lot of weight. She said she was down to under 100lbs.

My initial thought is it doesn't look high enough to be considered as a place to jump to one's passing, but it's kind of hard to tell as the image is from a distance. There may be higher bridges in the area where one would go to do such things, but I'm unfamiliar with the locale, MOO.

ETA: Is that the Buster Boyd Bridge?

You couldn't hurt yourself jumping from that bridge or most bridges for that matter. But a bridge jump permits a single decision- jump, and if you are far enough out where you don't have the ability to swim back, that's it.

Walking into water is a more methodical route, you think about each step and then have to get out to deeper water. Probably not easy to succeed this way as survival instinct may take over. Or you might change your mind.

    Just my opinion.

It's just called the Lake Wylie Bridge in the photo, but there is a Buster Boyd Bridge over the lake. It's four lane with a sidewalk so this could well be it.

It is the Buster Boyd Bridge. It's within walking distance to my home.
