Yeah, I just can't see it happening without consent. I mean what are they gonna do, put her in the car and not say a word to her the entire time to avoid claims of questioning w/o atty present? Even if they could manage that and videotaped it, I really believe just the act of removing her and driving her around to various places without consent could in and of itself be seen as questioning and be a violation.

I think she and her atty decided it was in her best interests to give up at least some info to police and she was brought along to help verify that info, and her atty (or atty's rep) was probably present for the ride.

Alternatively, if she is playing games, she could have told them what she was doing in that area at the time in question (even if a big fat lie) and LE wanted her to point it out to them and her atty agreed to let her do so.

I would beat my head on the lovely brick wall icon, but I have enough trouble as it just being blonde. :blushing:

I was thinking more on the lines of - they had a tip, brought her there, pressures her and presented her with what her options were.

Is this what you might need sarx?

Thanks Kat, it is exactly what I needed! Clearly I need to step away from the computer. Between my typo that totally had me spinning in circles and not being able to find the stinkin map, ugh!

Just a side note, it has been raining on and off all day in and around the search areas which has got to be making searching not only a lot more difficult but miserable for all those involved.
Hoping the weather is better for them tomorrow.

I have a theory maybe EB confessed and they are close to recovering Zahra so they arrested EB to get his minor charges out of the way so he can travel back to OZ for memorial services

Probably a very slim chance I know but I really don't want his mom to not have to through the pain of her son being complict in the death of the Grandchild she raised and went through so much with

I know I'm reaching

AB failed Zahra in so many ways.

1. He moved her to another country with no extended "blood" family.
2. She was not enrolled in any home schooling program - as state mandated.
3. Left with a step mom that allegedly took drugs.
4. IMO, he allowed EB to be the primary care giver. (ex. - AB didnt attend the charity event when Zahra gor her hearing aids.
5. Not providing a stable environment. (ex. several moves, warrents, arrests, alleged nasty fights with EB)

Please feel free to add on.............. :)

EB was certainly doing something if she was away from the jail for that many hours....

Me personally....no way would I leave my profile open for anyone to view during a case like this. I would also not be posting status updates that could be considered hinky....this is just me....but ya know.

It would depend upon what I knew and how sternly I had been asked to keep my mouth shut!

On the affidavit of indigence that accompanied her request for a court-appointed attorney, Baker listed her monthly household income as $600 from husband Adam Baker's job at Real Tree Services, and $200 from additional income such as food stamps or child support.

Thanks bellyup.

The other day we were discussing medical care for Zahra.

More than likely, it's quite possible given that the family recieved food stamps that they also qualified for and recieved other services. Medical card, etc.

Just a thought and JMHO.

Who the heck was she getting child support for?

was most likely food stamps, imo.

But only $200.00?? I have no knowledge how a state provides assistant but only $200/mn?? :waitasec:

What, no $591 disability payment like she listed on an apartment application? I'm shocked, I tell you...shocked! Did one of her mysterious and serious illnesses cause her to forget that she receives disability payments? Or was she simply not so dumb as to lie about something easily checked on her indigence form.

:crazy::loser::crazy:

Who the heck was she getting child support for?

Possible child support paid for Zahra from her Mother?

Just a thought.

She's claiming AB's income and food stamps. Maybe the 200 was for Zahra?

Who the heck was she getting child support for?

I believe the operative portion of this is 'food stamps'--I had read on here someplace that it was specified as such at some point. She would have pretty much automatically qualified as a disablity payment receiver with no other income, (at least I believe so--I used to work for a community assistance agency as a 'food stamp education specialist' who helped clients apply, so am pretty familiar with the guidelines FWIW).

Oh brother I read that wrong. Yes probably food stamps what's the basic allotment in NC for either one child or a family of three? Anyone know?

Who the heck was she getting child support for?

I guess there could have been a category on the form for other monies received, such as food stamps or child support...not necessarily that she listed either of those specifically as a source of income?

Things that'll be tumbling about in my head as I fall asleep tonight, all of them :cow: to be sure:

- AB was arrested just after 3 a.m. and by midday, LE was taking EB out of her cell for the first time thus far, on a drive-by of the Dudley Shoals site. Either AB rolled on something specific he knew about EB and the disappearance of Zahra, or LE gave EB word that AB was under arrest and talking, and gave EB a chance to "help herself out"....

- After EB was taken past the Dudley Shoals site today, where else did LE take her until 6 p.m.? Was it every other place in that area that she's lived?

- Sheriff Jones at the Dudley Shoals site referenced (albeit vaguely and very LE-proper-like) that there were teams searching in other areas, and that they were looking for "parts of evidence"... as if that evidence would not be found all in one spot.

- According to WSers who visit social networking sites, there has been a sudden "radio silence" from some previously active posters on the larger sites, which coincides with the end of AB's weekend and his freedom. Coinkydink?

- As for the "radio silence" mentioned above, given LE's increasing aptitude at tracking information spread from the MyBooks of the world--> to the blogs--> to the real world--and the early statement in Zahra's case that LE was looking for "inconsistencies" between what folks were reporting to them and what they were saying in "the media" (ALL media).... well, I am all tied up in the grammar of that sentence and will now just trip over it, fall flat on my face, and hope for good dreams for all and that Zahra is found tomorrow.
