LPD Continues Search For Woman Who Disappeared In June

By Tom StantonAug 29, 2024 | 7:53 PM

Lincoln Police continue their search for a missing woman. 30-year-old Jerica Hamre has not been heard from since June 25. Police first issued a missing alert in early July and now investigators are hoping someone with information will come forward.

LPD says no matter how small you think the detail may be please call them so our Criminal Investigations Unit can follow up on any leads. Police have determined Jerica disappeared under suspicious circumstances.

Police looking for leads in disappearance of Lincoln woman

It has been two months since the Lincoln Police Department began searching for Jerica Hamre, a 30-year-old Lincoln woman who went missing under suspicious circumstances. Authorities are appealing to the public again for any information that could lead to a breakthrough in the case.

Hamre was last seen at her home near 35th and Huntington on June 25. Since then, she has not been in contact with friends or family, and she missed a scheduled visit with her children. Her parents, who are the children’s guardians, became concerned after she failed to meet them on June 29.

In July, 10/11 spoke with Hamre’s parents, who believe her disappearance may be tied to a previous assault she was involved in.

I did a quick search this morning but found nothing new on Jerica's case. Unfortunately all the MSM reports I found were a couple of months old, and most had the same basic details that have already been posted in this thread. Not sure what the current status might be regarding her case.

" law enforcement has a suspect " - so how about a NAME (as in 'helping those from whom you seek help')?
Agreed. Other than the statement in the link above I've seen no recent updates in Jerica's case. I have no idea who this suspect might be, but apparently LE isn't ready to release any name(s) as of this date.

Wow, this feels open-shut. I hope they’ve been accumulating evidence diligently before it disappears. I’m hopeful they’ve already collected cell and car data of the roommates…
JUSTICE FOR JERICA!

Lincoln investigators, Nebraska state troopers, and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission on Oct. 21 and Oct. 22 took K-9s to a property in Overton to search.

"Evidence suggests Jerica could have last been in the vicinity of Arapahoe, Holdrege, Overton and Lexington, Nebraska, along with the surrounding rural areas," said LPD in a news release.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - After an intensive two-day search in central Nebraska, authorities found no evidence in the case of a missing Lincoln woman, Lincoln Police said.

Lisa and Craig Hamre would like to ask residents and hunters from the search area in the Holdrege, Arapahoe, Alma and Johnson lake to keep an eye out for things like fabric scraps in areas off of the main roads. For their daughter, Hamre's parents have a different message.

"We would tell her we love her, we miss her. I would want to know where she is; 'What happened? Are you ok? Come home.' Anything we struggled with, it doesn’t matter. We just want her home,” said Lisa Hamre.

I've seen nothing recent regarding these searches. The last MSM report I've seen in from 5 November.
