    This is so sad!

I hope they have checked the areas along the Missouri River!

Maybe he just needed to get away. The PCT would be a place he could do just that.

Read this book last summer and really quite enjoyed it.

Hoping that if Mr Rados did in fact go on the trail, that he will find a way to get in touch with someone to let them know he is okay.

I’ve Section hiked the PCT and JMT and he was posted as missing in the FB PCT of 2018 group. Since he stands out I’m sure someone will reach out to him. The hiking community is close knit and look out for each other for the most part. Maybe he has some Demons to sort out and is choosing to do it out on the trail. I only hope he has the right gear but he signed the register so that shows he isn’t going the path of Anonymity.

It all depends on Nick’s psychological state. The circumstances and spontaneity of his disappearance concern me, knowing what it’s like to have C(omplex)-PTSD. We can be very defensive and can come across to others as quite intimidating when spooked.

Hopefully, Nick’s disappearance hasn’t been precipitated by cumulatively stressful events and he hasn’t been triggered into a trauma state. If he has, he could be in danger and needs to be found now — preferably not by armed and inexperienced LEO’s.

Honestly, there should be a ‘camo/khaki alert’ system for cases such as Nick’s, and for all people who have psychological illnesses.

Is there any more news from my fellow WSers in the US on Nick? I am praying for his safety and the safety of others.

Do we've have a positive sighting of his vehicle parked at the trailhead parking lot for PCT or MJSP? I'd like to know he is finding peace on a hike, and getting close to nature and clearing his head.

I don’t know if this is allowed here so I apologize if this is out of the guidelines. His father has a PCT register in Idylwild that he signed and it says destination: Canada. I’m thinking thats why the they think he is hiking the entire trail or planning too. I got this information from the PCT class of 2018 FB page, a woman posting for his father. She posted a copy of the register and his fathers contact information.
