Allan Toussaint, a New Orleans music legend died after performing in Madrid, Spain. He was 77. (Sorry, unable to link on this iPad mini). Some would say, with his death, the music has died and I am one who would feel that way.

Oh, where's our moderator Bessie? What are we going to do now that he is gone? This city, it's music and JazzFest will never be the same!!! This is an incredible loss.

I always liked this version of a Toussaint favorite. It was on the first album I ever bought, actually.

Allen Toussaint's live performances were great. He gave a lot of joy to his audiences and you could see he truly loved what he did. Fortune Teller is a big favorite. I loved seeing and hearing him perform. He was a gentleman always.

Hi, Isabelle. The loss of Mr. Toussaint is a major blow. It's a sad, sad day in New Orleans, for sure.

Hear Allen Toussaint's final performance before his death in Madrid
