Jumping off of ZA and being a fence...

This is all IMO & things I've been thinking.

I think that considering the types of criminal activity ZA has been involved in and the location of Darden to I40, that human trafficking is very plausible.

This is what I have found out briefly on human trafficking in TN, specifically trying to focus on 2011 statistics. In 2011, Tennessee was part of a regional & multistate sex-trafficking rings with one connected to a Somali gang in Minnesota. There was also a regional prostitution ring in Columbia, TN that is only an hour and thirty minutes away from Darden.
(Paraphrased)

However, I think if something like this had happened, with the attention HB case has had, I doubt she would be anywhere near TN, if in the country at all. :(

O/T because I have no idea where to post this....

Someone mentioned posted earlier with a link to The Charley Project. I've been looking around on there, especially the "resolved" cases. I'm totally in awe...I'm going to be googling cases all night.

Anyway...carry on. :please: for the Bobo family and for the investigators....everyone deserves answers in this case. I've been following since 2011 but not posted. I'm reading along daily...on pins and needles like everyone else.

What Hwy was Holly's phone found on? I know the phone was on one side of the street and the sims card on the other side of the street.

Could be. Is there a reason that up until now LE might have turned a blind-eye towards ZA and all of his charges?

Obviously I have no idea/proof, but I'm sure smelling some serious issues in Decatur and possibly Benton counties in terms of integrity and ethics. Too many familial and other 'connections' seem to be cropping up.

Having grown up in a small town, I do think that happens a lot. I guess that is one reason why I like big cities now. You can stay a little more incognito. :blushing:

And ZA residence is right by I40. IMHO there couldn't be a location more prime for a hand off. Makes me sick thinking about it.

It would appear that she was taken along hwy69 from her home- since that is where evidence was found- that is, if the perp was trying to dispose of her personal items quickly. But IIRC LE stated that her phone looked intentionally placed- as if wanting to be found?

Isabelle Z is an okay Examiner blog to post from what I remember. Talk about going back with news, this isn't a bad read. Two pastors charged with child crimes...Two!

Meth stats, crime & Adam's grandmother's obit. Good historical facts.

Thanks for bringing this forward. Now I am veering off topic here, but the events surrounding the current sheriff being shot, mentioned within the article, is quite the story for those not familiar with it.

My opinions only, no facts here:

First let me clip a fragment from my latest (as yet un-posted) full timeline for the Holly Bobo case:

JAN. 28, 2014:

"The official FBI internet site reports the arrest of 14 people (mostly in Tennessee) for the manufacturing, distributing, and selling of marijuana and methamphetamines. This includes one person from Decatur County. At least 70 firearms were seized."

The way I see it, the activity that began on FEB 28, 2014 serves two purposes. First, the current warrants and searches are a natural outgrowth of of the FBI's JAN. 28, 2014 arrests. Secondly, the TBI can use the current sweep for their own purposes, i.e. the Holly Bobo case.

But I cannot get too excited yet about all of the most recent official activity. To explain why, let me clip a few other fragments from my timeline:

MAY 13, 2011

"On or about this date it was reported that authorities said 'they think they are just one clue away from cracking the case.' It is not certain if this is an exact quote. In my opinion, this may have partly been a ploy, to see if anybody began to fold under official pressure."

JUNE 22, 2011

"Around this date, authorities claim to be taking a 'new approach' to the Holly Bobo investigation. This included bringing in new investigators to see if things were overlooked by the original investigators, as well as re-interviews of witnesses, etc."

And yes, some of the current names being bandied about on Websleuths were mentioned much earlier on (by 2012 at least). But so were many, many other names of supposedly suspicious-sounding locals.

What is going on right now has the feel of both a dragnet and a "squeeze", at the same time. Speaking for myself, this is all very interesting, but what I want is the truth, not revenge for Holly's abduction nor any circumstantial convictions in the future. Holly herself, or her remains must be found, in order for the truth to be known.

JMO, all cases are "one clue away" from being solved...

Did I read something about a gem heist and pearl flushing?

Pass the coffee. And the crazy pills.

I'm not trying to start an argument here at all but ZA is a convicted felon. If you search for his name on the TN felony offender lookup he still shows up even though that particular case ended in November 2013.

That list of charges that was released from the Decatur County sheriff's department is just that--a list of charges. It doesn't say how those cases were disposed of. My guess would be that some of those earlier felony charges were amended down to misdemeanors.

Also, that list only includes charges that occurred in Decatur county and as we all know by now he seems to be a regular offender in at least Benton county, if not others.

I am curious about number 8 on that list that looks like it's been whited out, the one that has a booked date of 12/16/2012 and release date of 12/17/2012.

I totally agree. I am forcing myself to not get too excited just yet. Unless I see that they have found Holly. I am staying cautiously optimistic.

Does anyone remember that shortly after her abduction, a vehicle was found with camo clothes in it near a road and supposedly LE found the owner and he said he was turkey hunting. It didnt make sense because why was camo clothes in the vehicle if he was hunting. It seems he should have been wearing it if hunting away from the vehicle.

Anyway, with what we know now, is there any chance that car and owner of that car really was involved based on its location?
