At the ABC live feed, they're saying 4 people have been arrested. There may be more. Found IED's attached to some cars, also.

Very shocking and horrible. Much sympathy to the victims, families and everyone in Christchurch and all of NZ.

Update: Just saw a crawler at the link above saying the killers captured so far are 3 men and 1 woman.

The messages left indicate they are white supremacists.

Daily Mail says one is a 28 yo man from Australia.

Description of what the terrorist shared online:

"The 17-minute video, which appeared to be recorded on a helmet camera, shows his drive to the mosque, followed by a harrowing nearly two minutes of his firing on the worshipers in the mosque before fleeing the building and running back to his car and swapping weapons."

He then is seen re-entering the mosque and again begins shooting, continuing to methodically move through the mosque. Several victims can be seen in the footage, many laying on top of one another motionless in a corner of the room.

After another few minutes, he leaves again, gets in his vehicle and drives away, talking to himself throughout.

'There wasn’t even time to aim, there was so many targets,' he says at one point."

My sense is that when all is said and done, only the gunman is going to remain in custody.

I think there was some confusion here, and he attacked both mosques in succession.

This type of thing is usually committed by a lone individual.

Just awful, so sad, so unnecessary. I don't understand actions like this. Why such hate? I've seen a portion of the video and it's horrific. Those poor innocents.

I just watched the whole video. Where were the police? This happened in a well-populated area on a busy street. Before he entered the mosque, he was walking down the street with his SA slung over his shoulder and pointing ahead, with cars driving right by! And people standing around, he walked right by a group of people standing outside the gate to the mosque. People had to have seen him! Nobody called police? Nobody heard what must have been hundreds of gunshots in rapid succession? He entered the mosque and was in there for several minutes, then left and walked around outside for awhile shooting at people, with cars driving by!!!! Then went back in the mosque to shoot some more, then back outside to shoot, then finally got in his car. And continued to shoot people from his car. And STILL no sign of police!
