    New Jersey- WABC, April 5, 2007) - Eyewitness News has learned that an FBI agent who was shot Thursday in the parking lot of a Readington, New Jersey home and garden center is dead.
    Police say the FBI agent was ambushed in the parking lot while doing surveillance of a crew of bank robbers.

    Authorities say the shooting stemmed from a stakeout of the PNC Bank at 3510 Route 22 in the Whitehouse section of Readington just before 11:30 a.m.

    The agent was reportedly tailing a crew of bank robbers when, as one law enforcement official put it, he was ambushed. A gunfight ensued in the parking lot of the Arvins Garden Center at 3535 Route 22, across the street from the bank.More at link
