State Police are asking the publics help in finding 38-year-old Derrick Chavez, according to a New Mexico State Police spokesman.
Officer Ray Wilson said Chavez was last seen Dec. 17, around 2 p.m., in the area of 1100 Montoya Road in Bernalillo.
Chavez is a Native American male who is 5 feet 3 inches, 155 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. Chavez has a large head injury scar on the right side of his head and a tattoo on his neck that reads Priscilla.
He was last seen wearing a black Nike jacket with a red swoosh sign, tan pants, carrying a red laptop case.
