Quite possible in my opinion. Bundy had no problem claiming that he buried her over 200 miles away from where she was kidnapped, what’s another 400 to him?

Sharing some articles (in chrono order, all from newspapers.com). I will note that Glorieta Baptist Church paid for her burial and held a ceremony. My thoughts are that given the connection of the church to this young lady, it's very possible that one of the church historians would have information on where she was buried. <mod note: replaced screenshots with appropriate clipping link>

Good thought about Glorieta Baptist! Hope their files are good -- 1975 was a long time ago, any adult involved in the congregation at that time is likely retired now.

Couldn't hurt to ask, but IIRC the facility was sold a few years ago? Possible the region/Conference has the records if so?

Yes, I noted the same when Googling around. I believe one of the articles indicated she was buried in the church cemetery. When I looked at findagrave there was a 1974 burial, but the identity was named, so not her. It seems to me at the time that this was an event for the church, they took it to a vote in the church, funded the burial, and led the ceremony. I would expect there to be records somewhere if this is the case, perhaps an older church directory or the regional office would be a good start.

Typing fingers of this old genelogist indicate that Truett Black is deceased, but his son now pastors the church that Truett Black served in 1989:

Calvary Baptist Church

The conference or Convention would have information about Rev. Morris, I don't find anything definitive about him today.

Has the medical examiner identified the remains? In New Mexico, this happens at UNM. This also implies that the remains were located.

If you look back through this thread, @Frank57 is Nadine O'Dell's former boyfriend. Nadine has been repeatedly suggested as a possible match for this UID, but Frank's sure it's not her. If I recall correctly, the one who committed suicide was Nadine's grandfather.
