What they are teaching in college, I guess.

Queen Elizabeth II's portrait will no longer hang in a key gathering place at Oxford University's Magdalen College, after students voted to remove the picture due to concerns about it symbolizing colonialism.
    ...
"Being a student is about more than studying. It's about exploring and debating ideas," Rose said.

"It's sometimes about provoking the older generation. Looks like that isn't so hard to do these days."

Long ago in a galaxy far away I wore my Mom's old golf shoes to mow the lawn -- aeration, that was the trend on our neighborhood.

    Wore these, too, of course:

Grew up in 50s, early 60s loved lace anklets. I loved dressing up for church on Sunday. Especially holidays when I could were a hat and gloves.

    I raised a Tom boy....:)

Speaking of holidays, apparently a school board in New Jersey could not agree on renaming certain school holidays because of the new woke culture. Instead, they are just going to eliminate the names of all the holidays and will just give students days off. No more holidays called Christmas or Thanksgiving.

School district removes all holidays from calendar following Columbus Day outcry

Lighter note? This is a crime. A crime I tell ya. It's like taking those "jellies" plastic shoes and incorporating them to a Louboutin work of art.

Gotta go call Helena Bonham Carter. She knows funky shoes and she probably knows the Queen.

Note Candies with ankle socks and shorts was a look. For about a minute.

Balenciaga! No! Not that I ever owned a pair.
