I just don’t understand why if someone is offended they don’t just....go about their business? Not buy the book? I mean, the Amazon thing is utterly ridiculous. Like someone said above, if I squint, cover one eye and hold it from afar MAYBEEEEE I can see it. It’s like people have nothing else better to do then to tear everything down.

 

I feel, as a society, we’ve become WAYYYY too sensitive. It’s not a good look and makes us look weak. My kids are not being raised that way....so maybe there is hope for our future.

Remember two years ago there was an outcry over the song ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’. They said it promoted ‘rape culture’ and some radio stations even banned the song. The song was written in 1944. It won an Academy for Best Original Song in 1949. I would have no problem posting the lyrics here.

Now compare that to what has been dubbed the 2020 song of the year by Cardi B. A self-proclaimed feminist song. I would be banned if I posted those lyrics.

Go figure.

lol Just got out of FB jail cos a sensitive little flower who claimed his FB page full of anti mask and anti vax shizzle was fake, reported me for calling him out on said profile...didn’t even swear, didn’t meet community standards apparently. Yet FB didn’t remove his profile when I reported it as fake and he had posts blocked by fb for being fake news as well lol
You just gotta laugh at Zuck really...it’s beyond ridiculous!

Probably a tad off topic, then again maybe not, what with cancel culture running out of control at present. Good old Zuckerberg, two weeks ago he cancelled all Facebook News Feeds out here because the Australian Parliament had the cheek to introduce legislation that requires big tech companies to actually pay media organisations for the news that Google, Facebook, etc use from them on their websites. Google was pragmatic and worked out a deal, Facebook spat the dummy and threw its toys out of the cot, then realising that was possibly not a good look, did a gigantic backflip one week later and restored all our News Feeds and also worked out a deal.

I’m still trying to figure out why it’s not PC to call the 1st strain of coronavirus the “Wuhan Virus” but it’s perfectly fine to call the 2nd strain the “South African Mutation”?

Please, contrast the outrage of the classic Christmas song, to the non outrage of the very new movie out...Coming2 America 2. This movie actually depicts a date rape scenario! ( Eddie Murphy's character was "raped" under duress by Leslie Jones' character while under the influence of being drugged) . The movie has received rave reviews already! Surely an award winner!! But...that's ok.. We just keep rolling along.... Life.... is upside down!!
